That's it for this week folks, off to work for 10 days. When I get back my camshaft and cylinder head should be finished at the machine shop and I am hoping to get her back in the saddle before I leave for work again. I am also having the fuel pump and injectors overhauled for good measure. Oh my poor bank account.

Well Teseven has asked for my shipping information, that sounds very promising. I am booking up quickly work wise so I might not get much done these days off after all. I'll keep everyone posted on new developments. Have a good weekend everyone.

Well I just made the final payment, shipping should commence within a week. I feel weak in the knees haha. Man that's a pile of money, but I'll be the first one in North America and you can't put a dollar figure on that. lol.

This is the one and only picture of my tub from Teseven. They will ship it in the next two weeks and there is a 26-30 day shipping time. So basically it's my Christmas present. I'll load more pictures if I can get them. Cheers.

I'd be standing at the incoming port , waiting patiently....
Sarge

I like the way you think Sarge. I am pretty exited, but then I think of all the things I still need to do and I'm actually glad it will still take 6 weeks. I loaded up to much extra work on my days off so I will be struggling to get that engine done but you never know I might still pull it off. I'm waiting for some pictures on how to mount the seat because apparently there is no mounts provided with this tub. I also need to get the body mounts ordered so I at least have them. Daystar makes a complete set that looks like it will do the job, I just have to decide if I want to design some dished mounting washers that will keep the rubber mounts from sliding around. I'll cruise the Internet and see what people have come up with.
I think I might also have to drill my hard top holes, and hood hinges which will be fun because stainless can be a bit tough to drill. Cobalt drill bits usually work well though. Standby to standby Sarge.

Actually, the pic I posted is a tub that is here in Colorado. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.... It isn't mine, but I did help import it for the buyer & the shop that is installing it,as they are friends of mine.

Really? Fabien told me I was the first import into North America . Oh well maybe first in Canada then eh? Either way it was a crap load of cash and I am praying it's as good as I hear.

It's always nice to see the courage displayed in tackling these 'projects', and then see the amazing results. Very inspiring, although I'm still in drive now - restore later mode.

Thanks for the kind words Ian, I wish I could have driven her for awhile before starting on the restoration but she was too far gone. I'm proud to have been given the chance to save her though. I've always had a weak spot for this type of thing and I hope the end product turns out as good as I envision.

Gr8ful you wouldn't happen to know if the door hinges and hood hinges come predrilled would you? Was the one out of Colorado a stainless tub as well? How did it hold up?

I was basing what I said about being the first tub in North America on my correspondence with the owner of Teseven.

Just bought a rust free windshield frame off of a 84 cruiser. Just a bit of surface rust, I'm so stoked. I'll get that off to the sand blasters and get it primered, that was another big piece of the puzzle that I can check off. I will pick up my fuel pump in the next couple of days and then it's build time.

I've got a good one now I think Terrax, original are usually the best fit but I dint doubt that Fabien would build a very good copy. I think he told me that he will start building replacement parts by 2016, I'm not sure if it's complete items or patch panels like for doors etc.

Newly ground camshaft with a fresh moly coat. Followed by 8 new lifters. It was a slow day but i did manage to get the head on . I will update those pics tomorrow.
