I would suggest that you rather look at using this Racor Parker pre-filter with water trap and primer pump - https://ph.parker.com/za/en/diesel-fuel-filter-spin-on/445r2 . Dramatically more expensive but the Chinesium one pictured is prone to failure.

Hello to mud friends. The project continued a lot this last month. Here is my rebuild on the speedometer axle. The aluminium case that holds the gear axle in the transfer case was broken and the threads were missing. Also the speedometer cable was missing. The price of the speedometer cable is extremely high as you all know. I searched at the web and found many aftermarket speedometers for different Hilux models. I ended up buying a cable with this code 83710-89185 and the lengh suits perfectly. Also the one side that goes into the cabin matches with the instrument panel. The other side was missing as i said so i fixed it new with threads from water pipe that i glued on the aluminium case with a two component glue (cold weld)... Enjoy

After that i finally drove the cruiser outside to prepare it for the paint job...

I also painted some details (hints, instrument panel etc) with ral 7016 anthracite grey. With this colour i will paint the wheels later and the mask...

All the rubber parts that are simple rubber without any special inserts, are also very expensive. So i built them myself...

And the pieces began to match...

The matching of the pieces wasn't so easy... Many bolt holes were far from the reality...,. It just needs patience and searching to find out why is this happening... You just keep the bolts loose and moving gently the pieces (not to damage the paint) measuring all the time the distance from the frame and when you make it you just skrew them a little bit every time...

Hello cruisers. After 3 months I've decided to continue with my project upload. I haven't done much in summer. It's very difficult in Greece summer to work outside. The hours you can easily do some work are 6:00 - 9:00 and 19:30 - 21:30. So the most of my time, (except my job hours) was spend on the beach.

The center cosole was destroyed at the radio space, so i started to rebuild it.

Before i paint the front mask i tried it on the cruiser as it was bare metal. It's like UAE chrome mask...

I restored the tachometer...

The painting of the signs made by hand. The best of all was the reaction of my wife when she saw the tachometer. She opened her eyes and asked me with fear: How much did this cost??? Because she thought i had bought it new. It took me five minutes trying to explain that it was just restored... She couldn't believe it...
