That’s the right way. Shown’s would work if the bracket to the transmission bolts would been installed (painted silver in my picture):

MaTTi I accepted the challenge 😋😋😋. I built one bracket... It was a little hard to install it because of the cabin, but i made it... Hope that it will keep steady the exhaust.

One thing i was trying to solve was the steering. The mechanic steering is very hard to steer as you know and the hydraulic systems are very expensive. I've decided to look for an electric convertion, but there wasn't any bolt on kit in europe. I searched for convertions and saw that many people choose prius steering column because it's cheap and easy to fit in many cars. Because of the size of the BJ i decided to look after a column of a bigger Toyota... so i came up with RAV4 column. I saw at the web that it was similar built as prius. I couldn't find any more information about the dimensions so i've decided to find one and go check it by myself. After the inspection i risked and bought the column because the main dimensions were ok for me, but wasn't sure if the electric motor would fit without problems in the little available space... After all my modifications (brackets etc) the column took place. It was very hard to keep the factory angle of the column and to fit the pinion housing between the dash and the brake pedal... Enjoy...:steer::steer::steer:

Could you tell us more on the "water separator" you use (origin, make, price etc)?

Curious too on the specific brand he used..

Diesel engine must have: water is denser than the diesel fuel and will collect in the in the bottom of the bowl of the separator. ex: Heavey Equipment, Marine Engines etc etc all have separators. Nice design on the bracket.
