I ordered a second one so I’ll maximize that space up there...have one above/behind the driver and above/behind the 2nd row.

Seems like a good place for extra articles of clothing or pillows on a road trip. And there’s a zipper so you can hold things inside it too (not just on top).

Seems like it would block the dome lights? I have that problem with the BROG Attic, but in the back cargo light.

It would. It also would block the TV, not that those get any use in my truck. I'm more curious about rearview visibility. The one in the back cuts about 3 inches off the top of my view. I imagine one closer to the front would be worse.

Absolutely, it has a full motion in all directions. Since I have my on the passenger side, my is tilted all the way to left so it faces me

I did the same in January, although I had a local detail shop (New Image in Denver, CO) cut the XPEL to cover just the metal door sill. Looks stock and will be much more durable than the shiny aluminum!

I got mine off EBay. Search for Land Cruiser emblems and many different styles will show up. In my case I put it on a front plate. For the items you reference, @jeproks is replicating the HE D-pillar emblem, and so had trim off the mounting studs and cut out his own adhesive backing. I understand the emblem has to be gently bent a little to match the body curve if you also seek a D-pillar mounting spot.

The OEM HE emblems are outrageously priced (IMO), but they do come ready to mount with the proper bend and adhesive.

@jeproks are you still replicating the HE D-pilar emblem? If so, can I see and purchase?

I tried several versions of the magnetic vent mount, but was never satisfied with their ability to secure the phone on moderate to heavy bumps and I was also concerned with the long term effects on the vent blades.

I liked the concept of the oft recommended pro-clip mount. However, I did not want to shim the lower part of the mount in between the trim gap fearing that if I ever removed it, there would be a permanent deformation.

Enter the A-tach phone mount. It is similar to the pro-clip, except it's retention points are located along the step off, just behind the silver fascia of the vertical vents (better explained by the pictures). Fixation is assisted by small strip of 3m adhesive tape that contacts the vent trim but is not easily seen. It came with 4 pre-drilled holes that was supposed to be AMPS standard but they were too small and eccentric to the normal AMPS pattern. Therefore it required some drilling to enlarge and reorient the new holes further outward by 45 degrees to allow for the use of 8-32 screws (5/8" length) and nylon lock nuts.

I used RAM mount 1" ball base with their shortest extension arm and the XL quick grip. The mount is solid and is difficult to move once installed and there is no foreseeable circumstance in which it would move while driving. It brings the phone to a closer and more usable position without obstructing my vision or getting in the way of any controls.

I highly recommend this mount!

Note that it only works for iPhone 12, but it’s magnetic, and doesn’t require any metal appliqué to the phone or case, which means you can still use it in the Qi charger tray in a late-model 200. I put to the left of my windshield, pretty unobtrusive and has great hold on the phone even over large bumps. I like it a lot. Doesn’t charge.

Tailgate protector

LC 200 tailgate protector?

Sorry if this has been covered before but I'm not finding anything after searching... My LC 200 has an exposed lip on the tailgate that gets chewed up pretty easily. I can triage it with touch up paint, but I'd prefer to find a way to get something more robust on there so I don't have to worry...

My only issue with those suction is that they eventually fall down with either hot or cold weather in the worst time (like while driving).

My new favorite gadget. 12V portable heated lunch box, perfect for quick hot meals overlanding.

Toss in anything that's pre-cooked and contained. Burrito wrapped in foil, tupperwear meal, probably even frozen dinners, whatever. It's pretty large and easily held 4 big burritios for the family.

Plug it in for about an hr before meal time. Maybe 2hrs if it's frozen. Legit piping hot meal.

Cosign these guys, used to take one to work to avoid gross microwaves and smelling up the room with my food. Throw in a glass container with leftovers and 40 minutes later have a nice hot meal. Forgot I had it since COVID and wfh, making me consider prepping more complicated meals at home to warm up in this while camping.
