Ok, got my cup holder insert from BH3D. Now how the hell do I take the OEM one out? I’ve pulled on it a bit and the back comes free, but not the front. I don’t want to pull too hard and break something.

Just keep pulling... Mine was really snug and took quite a bit of force to pull out.

ProClip Phone holder. The best I have used. I have bought one for the right side of the nav screen. It looks great, doesn't cover the vent, and as well doesn't cover start/stop push button if mounted on the left.

I second this; picked up one after several failed other options. It's solid.

Do you have to drill to install it, or do anything that is not reversible?

No drilling necessary. It’s a c-shaped clip that attaches at the bottom to the gap between trim pieces, and at the top to the vent. Kinda just snaps on and the fit seems very snug — but not tough to reverse and take off if needed.

Sounds like I need to order one. Thanks.

is this a really bad idea? Looking to add USB for kiddos behind center console. Figured I could also mod the 5 prong to US and cig plug to USB C or something else.

btw... if you want to humor yourself, peruse the LC200 listings on Ali
Anyone know if this fits LX as well?

Looking at their site, you buy just the base and then a holder for your phone, is that right? I have a Galaxy S10+ and wife has an S-10. Any idea on adjustable holders since we both drive the 200? Their website is not the best to navigate. I've been playing around with it for 10 minutes.

Just go with one of the adjustable mounts that has enough width adjustment to work with either of those phones. I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, of the adjustable options are spring loaded so it would be easy to mount either phone up each time.

Unfortunately, they are not spring loaded. You have to adjust with screws, so the Pro Clip is out because the only other adjustable one would be the magnetic mount but we use wireless charging all the time at home so I can't use that, either.

Anyone know a good phone mount that doesn't require permanent modifications (like screw holes) that will accommodate different size phones on the fly?

EDIT: The VICSEED Car Phone Mount looks interesting. Gets great reviews on Amazon and it suctions to either the dash or the windshield. Might have to order this one and give it a go.

I have the iOttie iTap2 magnetic wireless charger that uses the CD slot. LOVE IT.

They do also make an air vent model if you happen to use CDs, but the CD slot is basically a wast of space on my console and the height is perfect.

There is a metal plate you either stick on your phone, or inside the case. I use it with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and I’ve had zero issues. Plus, since the cigarette power is so close in my ‘17, cable management was a snap. You can barely see the cable and the phone is super easy on/off while charging.

This thing, given the price, has been surprisingly useful and effective.

I installed it just above the engine start button. I can turn my phone sideways there and it’s not in the way of the ac vent...it covers the engine start button but if I’m driving, I don’t need that button. It partially occludes the temperature up and down button, but you can slip your fingers behind the phone easily enough.

It comes with multiple discs so you can stick them on multiple phones or devices and use one mount. I’ve got them in multiple vehicles.

A little over $100 bucks but a great mod. Mine had all the coating peeling off probably from age and too much hand sanitizer so it was time for a new one. Didn’t want the TRD shifter everyone else was going to.
