Hello everyone,
I am Looking to restore my interior m my 97 LX450. I need to replace the leather, and possible the foam, of my front seats. My leather on my center arm rest along with my shifter and steering wheel need to be replaced as well.
I used the search and have been reading through many different threads for a few days now. But all my research has not helped me get the information I'm looking for.
From what I can tell there are a few different places who offer what I'm looking for. Such as crueiser parts, Specter, Lseat, Land cruiser heaven and....
I'm looking to keep everthing in stock condition. I guess I'm looking for some review type feedback here to see which covers I should get.
Any recommendations from people who have actually purchased and installed these items would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

I have spent a few hours doing a similar piece of research for my 80. For me it boiled down to 3 options:

1) Find a set of good replacement seats from a donor vehicle (Chances are slim to non existent - the youngest 80's are now 20 years old)
2) Land Cruiser Heaven. All the research shows that these are by far the best option when it comes to quality of the leather and finish
3) Lseat - Slightly lower quality leather but still well made - half the price of the LCH

Realistically your choices are between 2 & 3. I guess it all depends on how long you plan to keep the truck.

I bought a console cover from Land Cruiser Heaven. I specifically ordered gray, I was concerned enough to even comment in the instructions I wanted gray. What did I get? Oak.

The irritating thing is that I had to PAY the return shipping costs even though it was THEIR mistake. Eventually I got the gray I wanted.

Not too impressed with Land Cruiser Heavens customer service since I had to shell out for their mistake and no offer on their part to make it right.

I would think long and hard before committing to an outlay of funds. There have been a few other poor customer service comments about them on another thread.

There has been a few companies that have come and gone over the years.
You can always use covers. These are very very good. ... Check out iggee.com

I installed the lseat covers last weekend. $300 on Amazon and only for LXs. Fronts only. I’m satisfied.

No, but I patched one area on the outside bottom of each seat with new foam and contact cement. It is a lot of ditsy work and it took about 3 hours each even though I have done about a dozen other seats in my life.

Thank you. Very helpful so far. Anyone else?
I did a write up on having my local upholstry shop dissasemble my 3rd row and rebuild my front seats with the panels. They had to use a piece or two from somewhere else because of some of the panel sizes required for the fronts that aren't on the 3rd row. Don't know how to link it to this reply but its in my feed if you look. Was $400 out the door for everything.

Hinterland, that maybe the winner. I have a set of front seats from a 1995 LS 400 in excellent shape in the same color. I already tried to swap them in my LX but too much modification was needed. I'll have to check with a local upholstery shop to see if they can use them as donors.
Thanks.

Anytime, Good Luck!

I did Lseat. beige, added seat heaters. I am happy with them. steamed my foam and the parts that were damaged and falling off I cut and patched. Took the opportunity to add a little padding here and there to make the seat a little more comfortable. Search the forums for lseat and you will see a couple of us LX450 people have gone that way. I think most choose either beige or ivory.

Mine were, Might be a little thicker than OEM though.
