My Oregon (post #6 above) died again. POS.

Was looking at some of the bluetooth models that talk to a phone, haven't made the jump yet.

Have a Blue Therm Duo ... the problems with Bluetooth: Doesn't get along with some types of glass (no way to know until you spend) and real world transmission distance has been a fraction of rated.

Anything that Thermoworks makes is good stuff, I have a Thermapen and carry an older Super-fast pocket thermometer in my knife kit, they've served me well. I had a problem once with the pocket thermometer and the tech guy spent a lot of time on the phone with me trouble shooting, he ended up sending me another one gratis.

I'm very interested in the Smoke model, that looks like a winner, especially with the WiFi option. Interesting disclaimer at the top of the page about buying through Amazon...

I have a pair of these that I've been using for almost 2 years. Grill Grate ET732. I also bought a couple extra meat probes. I'm happy with them except that they will occasionally beep and display HHH. I should probably read the manual and find out why! I honestly haven't used any functions except for temp - no timers, presets, nothing. My only regret was forgetting to order my second set in white.

Same story here. Thought about trying a $600 Fluke set up...for a second
I found one of these on Ebay for $20 bucks with free shipping, it came with a Type K thermocouple. Works with any digital volt meter 1mV = 1 °C/F. I happen to own a Fluke 77 :hillbilly:
Fluke 80TK Thermocouple Module

plus I picked up a three pack of new thermocouples out of China for $1.99 free shipping.

I've use this set up in commercial manufacturing for years with great results.
Edit lots more available:

:hmm: I like Fluke, 322 clamp meter is bullet proof...

Just getting into smoking, figured why not after enjoying smoked meat for so long. I'm trying out this guy
ThermoPro TP07
to go along with my Masterbuilt electric smoker.

Same as the Maverick. I need a new set of probes for mine, again.

Have a few sets of replacement probes on hand and you’re good. The wires get crushed/grounded out with repeated use...
