Best on board air, Tank or compressor?

I have just returned from three weeks camping along the west coast of Baja Sur. I used the Viair I have mounted in the cargo area to refill- it doesn't take up much space and never runs out of air. I would like to connect my rear bumper (tube steel) as a tank. My goal is always saving space. Never used Co2 but long trips and a big tank nix it for me no matter how fast.

Sorry if I missed it, but any more info on that black compressor? Looks to me like a York that's been converted to run on electric.

Thanks!

Warn Powerplant, all the way.

We aired up 8 tires from 17 psi to 38 psi in a few minutes.. his truck runs dual batteries and dual alternators, one is a very high output gm unit on his 12ht.

Only $1500 each!
I paid $1800 for my FJ60.
Jus' sayin'.

I use a fj60 compressor, been using it for over ten years. It rocks, it runs to a tank so I have some air storage which I run the arb off of. Takes up way less space than a giant motorcycle sized engine york. Airs up one tire in like a minute. Used a impact gun off of it a couple trail rides back to help a friend do a birfield.

How did you set it up? Pics?
Thanks.

Basically you just use it as a normal compressor and therefore connect it as a typical compressed air system. Put a filter on the intake side, then on the pressure side run it through a pressure switch(you can get different ones, mine shuts off at 90psi) to your tank which goes to your toggle switch. You can put in an oiler and dryer if you want. I just put a bit of oil in it once a year. I will see if I can take a pic later.

Thanks.
