Best AT Tire size for OEM 18'' Wheels? (10 Viewers)

I think I've settled on the Yokohama Geolander tires, but even after searching the threads here I'm still uncertain on what the best size will be for my factory 18'' wheels.

I do like a wider look that fills up the well, but naturally don't want to risk any rubbing. Let me apologize in advance for asking what may be a simple worn out question.

Mine is stock and has the 275/70/18. Fills up the wheel well nicely.

But Yokohama doesn't make that size
My best choices:
(In order of aggressiveness)

Goodyear DuraTrac
BFG AT TA KO's
General AT2
Michelin LTX AT/S2

I have run them all, all have up's and downs. If money is a concern the Generals are a real good buy. If your significant other thinks your going too wild the LTX's are a good peace keeper. If you just want to go wherever and whenever you want, the DuraTrac lead the BFG's, in mud, but they are pretty close in everything else.

i'm likely going with discovery a/t3s in 275/70-18. Seems like a good AT with great snow performance, which matters for me. They're inexpensive too @ ~196 a piece.

i also thought about running toyo at2's, but they're pretty spendy at les schwab.

Duratracs all the way!! 275/70-18 fantastic in the snow and couldn't be happier because it's comfortable and quiet considering it's aggressive tread. Plus it looks awesome at the same time!!

Michelins LTX A-T2 275/65 18. I like'm. I use them year round. No complaints. They wear well, are quiet and even the speedometer is spot on.

The best tire in that size is arguably the Toyo M-55. Made in Japan, great in the snow, sand, rock (I've had it in all 3), as durable as them come and tough looking with the ribbed sidewalls.

But...they are very expensive and as much as I wanted to get them on this rig I couldn't justify spending almost $500 more than I did for my BFGs.

Thanks for all the suggestions, exactly what I needed. I'm not a huge off roader, just some bird hunting and crawling around my tame 63 acre field. Traditionally I've been a Michelin Man, and don't want too loud a tire so quiet is important...on the other hand I do want a somewhat aggressive tread. Decisions decisions....if the Michelin tread is adequate I may go with that...but Mud does happen.......hmm..

Not to make your life more confusing, but I have been very happy with Nitto Terragrapplers in 275/65/18. They are about 1" taller than stock, pretty quiet, wear well, and have handled snow, somewhat tame off-road, and lots of city driving.

Great find, I looked at them for my Dodge dually 1 ton CTD and my 1995 FZJ80. From what I remember they are about the toughest tire sold and last 80k in a tough environment like mining industry, but they are spendy

I had them on my FZJ80 and threw them on my FJ60 when I went to Baja and they spent half their life on jagged rocks and never skipped a beat. I really want them again.

Running the Discovery AT3's on my Land Rover and really like them and the price was right. Will most likely install them on my 100.

I'm deciding on new tires for my hundy. I'm thinking the Duratrac 275/70/18 might be the way to go. Any spare tire fitment issues underneath? Diameter I got from tire calculator was 33.16"

According to max tire size thread without lift is 285/65/18. Tire calculator has diameter at 32.9" So are the 275/70/18 a bad choice? Duratrac also comes in 275/65/18 might be an option as well

I will be running no lift with AHC as I'm trying to keep it a mild build .
