I was messing around on tiresize.com and noticed there are some new (at least I think they're new) tire sizes that are basically 33" without being almost 11” wide.
245/75R18
The X-AT in SL load from Yokohama comes out to a 32.5" tire at only 9.7" wide.
The A/T4 in E load also from Yokohama, 32.7" tire at 9.9" wide.
235/80R18
The KO3 still in E load, 32.8" no width listed, but can't imagine it's wider than 10"
Has anyone any had any of these installed on the stock 18" wheels? Probably not big enough to cause any rubbing, but maybe this is a sign that tire manufacturers will start offering skinny 34 or 35s for 18" wheels in the future. Maybe I don't need those expensive rock warriors after all.
