Looking forward to seeing the specs, but I am not liking the lame-o "Toyo AT Xtreme"-esque sidewalls. I much prefer the current low key sidewalls, unless there is a big performance benefit.
I was simply stating that i was surprised that the tread design didn't change much. You might find this forum more suited to you and your spiked Geritol WWW.IH8ASSHATS.com
They don't have anything in common. It is a ground up complete redesign. If the wrapping of the product is your thing then that's cool I guess. At ease behind that keyboard boss.

Anybody run E rated tires?
I have a line on some really nice used Michelin 275/70/18 but they are E rated and I don't know if they will be to rough of a ride.
I have the on my Ford super Duty, but thats a truck that rides rough anyway and it always had E rated tires so tough to compare.
I have driven on BFG's for years on many different vehicles, new tires and used tires. I can honestly say that the BFG is a good long wearing tire on a permanent 4-wd vehicle and has a good sidewall strength(but this may also be it's downfall) . My brother chewed through his quickly on his quicker than anticipated on his tundra and noticed right away that the ride quality was diminished when putting them on, he switched to Duratracs E load and it's back to the stock comfort that he remembered that he lost immediately with the BFG's . I am still running vehicles with the BFG's but will definitely without question switch to Duratracs on all vehicles moving forward as they are better in snow & ice than BFG. They seem to grip like crazy, they come with waaaay more tread depth than the BFG, they look better, definitely more comfortable and if and when I need a hybrid mud tire I would rather have them over the BFG's. Now for the downsides of the Duratracs slightly more noisy, and perhaps the sidewalls wouldn't hold up as well during serious offroad air down situations (from what I hear), they love to throw stones!!!! for my needs they suite me 100% and unless something else comes out that works as well "for me"...I will stick to the Duratracs!!!
Glad this is a recent forum. Just purchased my first Land Cruiser today and the only thing I can see it needs are some new tires.
I ran the Cooper Discoverer AT/3s on my Tundra and they were great. Kind of a good all around, they were 6-ply. I'd definitely consider them again. It's good to see what some other people on here are doing with their rides.
My driving patterns have changed a little over the years, as most of ours do, so I do mostly all highway driving, with a half dozen snow trips a year, and a limited amount of off highway driving. Sounds like the LTX AT/2s or Duratracs are popular with the LCs?
I had a set of Triple Tread Wrangler's, they were expensive. Did fantastic in deep snow. Did not have a great tread life though, IMO.
You might want to check out the Toyo OC AT2 as well. I have had BGF AT, and currently have Nitto TG's, Duratrac's, and the Toyo OC AT2. The Toyo compares favorably with the Nitto and Duratrac, and much better than the BFG's. If I could only have one set, it would be the Toyo. Great ride, very round, tough sidewalls, quiet for an AT, and the extreme tread available on certain sizes is pretty aggresive, with large tread voids.
Another note, I looked back at my records and found that I did run the Bridgestone Revo's on my Tacoma, I got close to 50k miles on them and I don't remember having any complaints about them.

I found a variety of answers based on different year 100s and the stock wheel size but since this a recent thread...i have an '06 with the 18"wheel. So stock says 275/60/18, looks like some of the people on this thread are running wider? I don't want any rub issues, I'm not doing a build (yet). So would I be fine at 275/65/18 or even 275/70/18 on a stock rig?
