Before and After....

Doing a little (belated) spring cleaning today in preparation for some new flooring going down in the house next weekend and I came across some really old pictures of the 4Runner, so I thought I'd start a "Before and After" thread to give people a chance to show how much of a transformation their rig has undergone over the years.

The top pic was taken sometime in 1996-97. I still had on the stock running boards and look at how pristine that stock rear bumper still looks!

So come on, let's see the before and after shots!!

2004 Autotrader ad. With fresh 285’s but 200k wobbly mirrors and shot leather

2005 after purchase from stellar intermediary steward and immediate Jspring install

2015 with no snorkle after new windshield install

When I found it on a used car lot in October 2014. Rusty with nasty diamond plate cut with a hack saw then screwed on. Tires were dry rotted, top was splitting, seats were not worth throwing away, poor brakes, poor clutch, hard to start when it would start, four layers of paint complete with drips and runs and the list goes on and on. At least the bezel was right side up.

Almost 4 years later.

After soft top and bow install. It was a soft originally when built so it is somewhat back to how it looked when new.

Yeah, the 31” Mall-Terrains were enough for a lot of fun back in the day!!

LOL so many great memes to throw in here. But to be serious all my changes on the cruiser sans snorkel have been mechanical and PM so nothing to really show... after the wheels, sliders and rear bumper i'll add to this post.
