BBRC Fall Crawl OCT 26-28, 2012, The Cove, Gore, VA

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, Skimlinks, and others.

If you aren't registered by the end of Fri Oct 12th, then you will not be allowed past the main office of the campground.

The Cove is off limits to wheelin unless you are registered for our event, so don't wait!

Passengers/Campers not driving will not have to be on the list, but if you haven't paid for a meal, there will not be extra food. Again, don't wait!

I am interested in driving up Saturday if I can find a trail seat. My rig is not ready. :p Is it like Rausch Creek where riders need to register as well?

You will need to pay the Cove for passenger fees, but no BBRC fees unless you want a meal or shirt. Meals are $15 and shirts are $15. If you want a meal or shirt, you will need to pay for them by Friday Oct 12.

What campground will we be using? As I recall, tow rigs with trailers won't be able to park in or near the campsites due to clearance issues, is that correct?

You will need to go to camp 6 to check in and go through tech inspection.

Otherwise there will be a staging area that you will pass that will have groups lining up.

It looks like the weather is going to be ideal for wheeling... How would you characterize the "tightness" of the trails? I'm debating pulling the soft top and using the bikini top and duster, especially if the trails tend to eat soft top corners.

I would definitely drop the top. They can get narrow at times.

Who is planning on showing up Thursday?

Who is planning on showing up Thursday?
Those of us showing up Thursday can scout for the best camping spot... I am planning on getting there in the early afternoon-ish, Thursday. Anyone with knowledge of Camp 6 have any suggestions?

I'm planning to arrive mid afternoon. The last time I was at Camp 6 the poop houses got pretty rank after a couple of days so anyplace not too close would be good. As I recall, there are shady spots to the right side of Camp 6 as you enter.

Anyone planning to use the shooting range?

Planning on being there thursday. Durn i did not know there was a shooting range. Hmmmmm. Rifle? May go back to RVA for M4 and ammoooooooooooooo. :)
