what kind of tread life are people getting with the ST Maxx?

Yes, I have heard of the Duratracs as being called a hybrid. I would have gone the Duratrac route, but I wanted something with a stronger sidewall.

The Duratracs have a 2 ply sidewall. The Cooper S/T MAXX sidewalks have a Kevlar 3 ply sidewall. The tires are anti cut and chip. While the Duratracs are an awesome awesome tire, I can't risk a puncture in the rocks where I ride my truck.

Slightly incorrect... Some DuraTracs are 2 ply. Not all models are. They are polyester not kevlar however.

Have about 4K on the ST Maxx. Definitely louder than the Terra Gs they replaced. Quieter than my friends Trail Gs. Got them for sidewall strength and more aggressive thread. Loving them so far.

In search for some narrower 16 inch steelies for a possible 235/85/16 studded ST Maxx winter set-up.

My 295 TGs lasted me forever, >80K, quiet, great in snow.
