Go get it tested. I've had the same behavior in the not so cold 30-50's here and I was convinced it was dead. I just had it tested at interstate fulling willing to buy two premium 27 or 34's and its fine. Its 3 years old and still testing correctly.

Get different answers depending on where I go and how long I have been driving. O'Reilly's near my office told me the Alternator was going, then told me the Voltage Regulator was going. Batteries plus said that it was dying a slow death as the load capacity wasn't up to snuff. Autozone said my alt was dying slowly. So honestly I dont know who to trust.

I'll tell ya, alternator aside, nothing gives peace of mind like a good interstate battery. they always last me 10+ years

Yeah this DieHard Platinum has been rock solid up until about a month ago. No real reason as to why it would have suddenly done this other than maybe it sitting for little over a week when the wife and I were on our anniversary trip. This year it did get colder quicker, just like a sudden snap one week where it went from normal temps in the 50s to 30s at night and then suddenly BAAM we were hit with this bitter cold at night.

Best thing you can do for any battery is get a smart battery tender/charger...
