Anyone see UGA whoop up on Gonzaga? Come a long way in a couple years.

Clemson is coming up soon! Two upstarts that could make it to the dance!

I watched the last 7-10 min they definitely owned the zags. Your center looked good not sure how we are gonna match up with him. I think our guards are the deepest in the ACC though so we should have an advantage there.
 
Go Tigers! It wasnt super impressive but its another W 11-0 and still rolling. Now #22 in the Country.
 
Go Tigers another resounding victory today dropped 103 points in today. 12-0 still one of the last unbeatens in the country and the only one in the ACC. One of only 3 ranked teams in the ACC.
 
Congrats Richard. 12-0 is a great start and you guys got some love during halftime of the Florida beatdown of OSU.

Even you have to admit you still haven't played anyone of note and won't for a few more games.

In fact, I could see you getting to 14-0 and then having a real chance of dropping 5-6 of the next 7. 15-6 would still be stout after the Duke game.

2 more and your foes get MUCH tougher. This should be great for morale though. Looks like my boy KC had another big game today.
 
Ga will be a good test on thur. I dont believe we will lose that many of the games before duke though. The acc is a little down. GT is young and we have the guard play to cancel krittendon or whatever his name is. Fla St on the rd will be tough. I think we can get one on the rd at NCSt because they just arent very good. Too many foreign white guys not enough black guys willing to try and dunk on anyone in front of them. I dont know a lot about Maryland other then strawberry can play and they are really athletic so that will be tough on the road as well. Its not inconceivable that we could meet UNC at 18-0 though. I dont expect that I'd say maybe like 15-3 but if we can play our game and control the tempo and work the press we can beat every one of those teams. Dont take away from ODU or Miss St though they are both damn good teams. Rivers definitely had another big one. Hes got to be the best 6 man in the ACC hes dropping nearly 20 a game off the bench. Its great to have that sort of bench support and energy boost. Hope they dont screw it up and let him start.
 
I don't want to do too much damage because I remember what it was like to operate on a college budget, but I'll take that bet - you guys going into the UNC game 18-0??? :grinpimp:

No I'm not betting on that, I'm just saying its possible since none of those teams are as good as they have been in the past. It would be the biggest surprise in clemson sports history if we were though. I think we'll beat UGA and GSU and then probably split on the way to UNC. Its just so hard to play on the rd in the acc that i dont think its possible for anyone to win them all.
 
The Clemson train was rolling again tonight solid 15 point win over UGA. Good nonconference W for the Tigers. 1 more win to go setting up for an undefeated record rolling into ACC play. I'm a little more confident about some of those early ACC games now.
 
I'm proud of this basketball team. I'm glad to see that OP is getting the program heading in the right direction. This team seems to be ready to have a special year, but I think it is also the beginning of a special era for Clemson basketball. Let's just hope that we can keep OP.

OP doesnt build teams he builds programs its not a quick fix hes in it for the longterm. I think this is the start of a good stretch. We are like #28 on espns ranking for the best 2 sport schools and that was with a horrible bball team we will be moving on up.
 
Totally agree. He was just what we needed to get the program turned around. I just wish I could make it to more games...

As for the rankings, I think that if you throw baseball in there, we might be one of the top 10 3 sport schools in the country.

It's a mighty fine time to be a Tiger!
 
Congrats on the win and your best start in 20 years. Looks like KC's shot was off tonight but the team did enough to win convincingly. :cheers:

Good win for CU... Time will tell if the BB team will fair better down the stretch than the FB team did. :cool: (but thanks again for embarassing GT in Cullowhee!!)
 
I would say we are probably top 5 in 3 sport schools cause I cant really think of any schools good in all 3 sports besides us and texas. We have a chance to be ranked in all 3 sports this yr.

KC didnt shoot it well tonight Andy but he played some solid D. Big highlight on ESPN of a steal/assist he made.
 
That one was just for you Marshall they played a solid opponent that there is no debate about so you cant say "they havent played anybody" now. 3-0 against the SEC this yr.

UNC looked ok in their beatdown of rutgers last night.
