Got some lube of choice for this amateur lube jockey?
Start with PB Blaster, then do spray white lithium grease. Wipe off excess when done. Spray while moving the parts.

Also got this going on,.,.left it in the bath all night, these were from last night. Will post results.

So after yesterday's mess I decided to follow through and just rip the seats and carpet. Pretty sure I have coronavirus for sure after that...no other "friends" to report 👍

Well, looks like your LC has had a collision in its past. Maybe took a tree in the LR door. You can see from that picture that the door sill has been rebuilt and where the floor has been hammered back into place.

When it comes time to repair the rust, you may be able to buy a chunk of one to cut out and weld in on that whole left side.

In the short term, buy some galvanized sheet metal, cut it to shape and size. Then get a tube of Seam Sealer, seal it down, then drill and pop-rivet the metal to the floor. Make sure there are no brake lines or wires you will drill thru underneath BEFORE you drill.

Sounds like a solid fix for now!
Thx for sensing my greenness on this one @BILT4ME
I wanna put the carpets back in so bad, but this will have to come first!
