My dad was at Barrett Jackson today and snapped a few photos of some sweet Land Cruisers.

Which one's the troopy? I see a red fortysomething a 45lv and a white 40.

Troopies are also 2 door with removable tops :FLIPOFF2:

Rookies...

That truck sold on ebay a few years back for around $28k. I think someone here (on mud) bought it. Lemme check...

price

for the price, the tan one looks like a deal. It looks like a nice restore (not TLC quality restore likethe LV, but nice), even if you do have to flip the bezel rightside up and turn the windshield bumpers on the hood around the right direction.

This is sick! The red one was near original color, but modified. The cream color one was NOT a factory color. Both of them sold for more than all of the money that I have in my locked 80!
Kevin still has the original 40 that we all grew up with. It is still the factory forest green, not ****** cream! If we auctioned that old green truck, we could feed 40,000 kids for 20,000 years the way that the missions tell it! Let's go for it! A dollar a day to feed a lost child. One that should not have been born.
I would rather spend $1000 to teach the mother about birth control! It is a better investment.
We will keep the truck. It is kind of cute! Let it rust in the family, rather than let it go!

geez, does every thread have to have politics now

Rob is right.
There are times when we realize that a bit could save someone "over there". But the problems are much deeper there. Ignorance and stupidity are the norm in many places. We cannot cure it all. We can only do our best. When we have done what we can, the time comes to RUN! We can't fix everybody. Nor can we correct everything.
