This ain't politics, it is simple economics. I have to agree with Obama on at least one thing.
In every business that I've been in, a bonus is a way for the company to reward the employee for performance when the company does well. If you are running a company, and it performs so badly that my tax money has to bail you out, YOU DON'T GET A BONUS!!! No christmas for you! Not on my tax dollar! You also do not get a new jet airplane! Where exactly do you think your bonus came from? It was from company profits, not losses. If there were no profits, where should your bonus come from? Thin air?
No profits, ergo, no bonus. Go figure! It is simple! An idiot can figure this out! It is really simple math. 0 plus 0 equals your bonus is, guess what...0!! You didn't make money, so your bonus will be a percentage of..... no money!!! Oh, Damn! No bonus. That is real math. No profit means no bonus. get over it!
We do have to keep our priorities straight. If the company lost money, just take the hit, the same as us regular guys do. Bite the bullet and get over it! It's not that hard. We'll get past it all.
The economy will recover in time. Until then, no bonuses for the top guys, if my dime is saving them and their jobs! I'm not paying a bonus with my taxes to guys who lose money for the company in any economy.
