Hey Gang,

Just had a few questions about balls. What balls are the proper size to use on the Wits' End Useless Cubby?

I already got a radio button, so now I'm looking to fill the other two holes with a iphone mount and ipad mount.

Ram Mount has a million options so any pics or suggestions with sku numbers would be great.

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge about balls and the best way to fill these holes!

Any size ball that tickles your pickle. Just use the one with a stud attached ;) (specifically 1/4-20)

Balls should be sized to weight expected to hold.

1 in is good to 2lbs, according to Ram.

Everything changes on wash boards

Yep, my experience is that Ram are overly optimistic on the weight the balls can manage. If you drive corrugation or rough off-road, you’ll want the bigger balls for sure

I have 8" of tablet and 2 phones that are happily mounted on my small balls, and my balls are quite comfortable and secure. Thanks for asking.

Well gang a little update on my balls......

They are in and work well, I asked a few lady friends who said these balls are the right size.

Hmm I think the kids these days call this item "DS" or Dead Stock. I think Joey might cut me off for asking questions on items from long ago... LOL
