Bad cold start VDJ200 Diesel (1 Viewer)

Folks!

so i have a 2013 VDJ200 4.5 diesel with DPF. and this turd struggles to start when the outdoor temperature goes below 47°F. it sounds bad and it smokes.

i have tried to mend it my self i.e.
- changed 8 no. off. diesel injectors (piezo type) original injectors
- changed 8 no. off. glow plugs.

the car does not show fault codes. it only smokes white and caugh and sounds really bad.

after 15- 30 seconds it's fine and i can drive smoothly away to the horizon and pretend that my car is perfect.


feel free to give advice on this issue. have thrown alot of money on it now, and the dealer don't know what the problem is.

Bump to the top for you. Also wanted to suggest you cross post here in the Mud Diesel forum too. They may be better suited to get you sorted than most of us with the 3UR petrol engine.
