We had a good run yesterday: Coke Ovens, and since we couldn't cross the river, out via Battleaxe trail. Four of us tagged along with the Tacomas.
The highlight of the run was a 700lbs camper coming off a stock-ish T100 on a hillclimb on Battleaxe. I don't have pictures since I was in my usual spot as tailgunner, but I was like "I can't believe I just heard THAT on the radio"
The camper hadn't come off all the way, tail end was on the ground, front part hanging on to the truck bed by a fingernail, so we were able to push it back on the truck, and then it was ratchet straps to the rescue.
The run had somewhat of a flavor reminiscent of the Golden Spike run at Blazer Bash last fall - sort of a marathon with multiple breakage: front spring pack coming apart on a SAS 4runner, with a u-bolt on the driver's side about to say goodbye (the nut on said aftermarket u-bolt had already gone AWOL...), and a rear driveshaft falling off the same truck since the nut that holds the flange to the output shaft of the t'case had come loose. Luckily, it couldn't get away since it was trapped between the flange and the CV. In summary, all breakage due to engineering not commensurate with Toyota Motor Company, I guess

.
Other than that, major scenery back in those mountains, and a great time!
We won't be able to come out today

, so you guys have fun.
And BMAN, sorry about the 'running trucks' comment last nite but you have to admit you opened the door for this one...;p

. Hope everything works well for you today
