For us Newies how about complete directions. Can find Florence Junction. Do I head north or south?

Thanks
Ray

From the valley, go east on US60 past Gold Canyon to Florence Junction, turn right, south, on US79, a little over 5 miles down is Cottonwood Canyon, turn left. Not far down Cottonwood it "Y"s go left, the camp will be on your left.

At the Cottonwood turn off is a flagpole and a big parking/air down area surrounded by logs, it's pretty obvious and TTORA usually has big signs. The whole area is flat, so you will be able to see camp from a long ways off and there will be a ton of Toyota's out there, so if you get lost, just follow one!:D

From Queen Creek, I would go to Florence then north on US79, IIRC ~7 miles to Cottonwood Canyon. Probably a bunch shorter, quicker and less traffic to deal with.

I'll be the guy waking every body up with my 2 A.M. (ish) arrival Friday morning. I can only get in one day of wheeling and since I work nights, my best bet is to leave after work Thursday. My apologies in advance and thanks Kevin for the directions.

No Longer Lost

Thanks Kevin! I've been to Cottonwood Canyon before. Just didn't know it!

Howdy! Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I work 5 pm til 2 am Sunday thru Thursday, so I may go out early Friday, or sleep in and go out for the day early Sat. Need to test out my new High Steer. John

Shirts

Any chance someone can grab the T-shirts that I ordered for me? I didn't realize my son's soccer season started so soon. An 8am Saturday game takes me out for Friday night camping. Is there going to be anything left by the time we get done to come out and wheel?

-Norm

Norm,

There will be plenty of things to do on Saturday afternoon and evening. Come on out! Otherwise send Tim (4xClover) an email and let him know to drop the shirts to me and I will bring them to the next meet for ya. Tim actually lives pretty close to the Sonic so you could swing by his place too, if the drop doesn't work out.

Looks like I won't make up to FJ this weekend. :frown:

It is getting too close to Moab and Alvin and I haven't started welding my bumper together. His is all done and painted. Mine is still in pieces on the floor of his garage. We should be able to get the shell, wings, hitch, recovery points and spindle done this weekend. Then it should only be a day or so to finish the arms and carriers.

The good news is that I have the Aussie locker installed. Found something weird on one of the hub nuts, but everything is working great.

You guys have a great time.

Well it's either go play HO trains or 1:1 scale off-roading. We'll see what the boys want. Have to bring the RN60 as the FJ40 is still @ TW for a "quick engine swap" Heh...

There will be plenty of extra right hand seats Ross, come on out.....

I'd love too, but I'll be welding and grinding.

That's married guy code for one week in two months is more than enough wheeling time for my marriage...:flipoff2:

Ross... you will be missed.

Alvin, on the other hand, will not.:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Anyone going out on Thursday? My spare should be on, so I may cruise on out. Alan Salem cut me a killer deal on the tire!

I'll be there on Thursday AM. Not sure what I'm running but I'll be there.

Maybe that loop I was telling you about.

That's what I was thinking, prerun for a possible Saturday CSC run?

What is the planned run for Friday?
What is the planned run for Saturday?

Are there going to be planned runs, or just the usual - ya know, meet somewhere, BS for an hour, get driving, stop to air down (aka BS some more...), get driving, get lost, get back on track, and have a good time :grinpimp:

I plan to be there Friday, not sure Saturday. The :princess: and her brother may have other plans. After all this moving crap, I need as many days on the trail as I can get...
