Hey all,

Not exactly tech, but I would like to see where this rig looks like it is from? This might be one of my dream rigs, perfect suspension setup, nice and simple, not over built.

Australia?

cheers,

Joel

Looks like an Eurozone License plate...... :)
You don't want one though because the people that own 75 Series are generally nerds.

If I had one of these, I don't give a care if I'm called a nerd! Ha ha, it's just got great proportions... what did it have, a 3B?

Here is a picture of one from when I was in Australia a few months ago. I talked to the guy for a few minutes, real nice guy. It had a 3" aftermarket exhaust on it, sounded mean when he got on it.

Depends on the model. There are models with almost every cruiser motor out there, that body style ran from '85 - '97

Thats pretty well much a stock rig except for the wheels and tyres. The name of the business on the door looks german or scandinavian.
Judging by the grill ,its a 90s models .It would most likely be a 1HZ 6 cylinder diesel but they were also available in the 5cyl 1PZ diesel and the 1FZ petrol engine.
The B engine was no longer available by then in a Landcruiser.

The ulitmate models were the HDJ78 and 79 with the 1HD FTE turbo diesel,I think they are better than the V8 ,although the V8 is nice.

Those "tall - skinnies " really look good on that truck. :)

I remember seeing an article about that truck somewhere. It has 80 series axles and suspension. I think the tires are Michelin 255/100R16 if I remember correctly

hit the nail on the head from what I can remember.
Though i think it was just 80 series axle parts modded onto the 70s as 80 series are wider than that just by looking at it
I think it has a 1hz in it, HZJ75.
those may be 900r/16s but I could be wrong. Tall skinny all the way.

I would love to have a set of those tires

I know I am biased but that older body style looks so much better than the newer trucks. :)

You must have excellent eyesight to be able to see that little "D" on the license plate. :D

Nope, you can tell by the first three digits of the plate what city it's from or near. In this case:

WUG - Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen, Bavaria

Cool.....
I travel to Germany ( Frankfurt ) on a regular basis and have never seen a 70 Series Land Cruiser.
