As per the instructions, it just says to install it in the wheel arch area with provided mounting plate. I'm looking for a picture since there isn't one in the latest instructions setThe instructions show the installation of the pump.

Look through @TeCKis300 install thread. He has photos. It is pretty self explanatory once you have the wheel liner out of the way and can see the area.As per the instructions, it just says to install it in the wheel arch area with provided mounting plate. Georg, if we have the small black pump that came with the tank kit, versus the large silver one, are we using the "old" pump or the most up to date one?I found this picture in one of the earlier versions of the install docs.
Hope this helps.

It is the upgraded pump. Work was done by Ed Martin a few months ago.Did that pump come with the tank .. or is that the other aftermarket pump suggested replacement?
Mine came with that Black pump in the instructions above.
That one looks like this one

Not sure, my guess is behind the dash by the button/gauge. There is dedicated power running from the battery through the firewall and the relay is not under the hood or back by the pump.Sorry one more question...
Where or in what area did he put the Relay for that pump? The pump that is comes with doesn't need a relay but I believe that one does.
Please, who has these 16 Gal spare tanks, would love one on my 2013 LX570......I think we have 5 total with my tacoma buddy. he works with @duggy and they are going to test fit the tacoma option on his rig
dang, well at least we know! thanks for the update @wardharris! I have some thinking to do now:
1 keep my spare and add 16 gals to hopefully give me over 400mi/tank
2 lose the spare to add a 24 or 45gal tank and just hope the Ridge Grapplers dont let me down haha
3 buy a bumper(s) and suspension too $$,$$$!
This is an old thread. So not sure anyone will even see it. Please, who has these 16 Gal spare tanks, would love one on my 2013 LX570......Sorry, no direct knowledge of LX back end or if these have been fitted, but email sent to Melbourne to check.
You are on the list, Russ. Will work with Duc to herd the orders!
Sounds like a plumbing issue …….Has anyone else had this issue?
I got a 12.5 gallon tank put in a few months back and have a strong gasoline odor around the back side of the LC near the fill ports. It is probably from the connections to the aux tank or the vent?

What was wrong with it?Yes. They told me to pound sand. I live in Montana. The shop was in California. Not worth the trip. . The issue has been resolved.
