Automatic to a B engine ?

Do the gurus here know of an automatic tranny that will bolt to a B diesel or has anyone seen something adapted ?
My neighbor is an old guy who cant handle the clutch any more.(75 BJ40).

Some of the bj60s have autos.

yep, it can be done.
find a parts truck with a 3B or 13BT auto and bolt it up...aux cooler for the rad fluid, massage the floor, relocate the center frame cross member, lengthen and shorten the driveshafts.
i think it will work just fine although a bit underpowered.

The old guy will be tickled to death. It's a nice truck and he hasn't driven it in about 4 years.
