Great... Your point makes sense. I can see the heat cycles making those plated set screws wanting to come undone over time. Thanks for mentioning that.They will eventually fail. The set-screw termination allows the wire to oxidize and heat cycles will cause the screws to loosen, potentially causing arcing and fire.
Bursting my bubble! Ha, ok. I did just pick up a g31 Odessy Batt recently for my 2nd batt. Will go with mil type terminals. But just for s***s an giggles I'm going to try the Audio ones on one side to test while state side. Thanks for sharing your experience.I hate those damn things, have removed and tossed a bunch of them. As mentioned, the wire connections tend to come loose, also the "hard" battery connection taper tends to come loose, work off the terminal, especially on AGM batteries with harder terminals.
