What kind of stereo set-ups do you guys have in your cruisers? I have the stereo that was in it when I bought it and haven't done anything to it yet. A 30 watt cd player where the CD doesn't work and it doesn't have a clock. The two door speakers don't work. The rear speakers are ok I guess.

Does anybody have any pretty sweet systems set up?

Midrange Kenwood deck, new one though, forget the model number, MP3 capability and Sirius Ready
MBQuart 216.something coaxial fronts (didn't fit in the old car, glad I didn't sell them)
2 old but working Amps (came with the truck, could be up to 20 years old); for the fronts (100x2) and for the sub a (400x1) not sure of the ohm loads so the rear may be getting 800w (2 Ohm load)
Sub (Kicker 12" L5 in a 2.4cuft ported enclosure)
Sirius Sattelite (don't know how I went so long without satellite radio)
Pioneer external crossover (oh so simple and nice for doing a lowpass <125Hz to the sub)

It sounds good.

pioneer wma/mp3 player, hasn't skipped yet, pioneers int the doors and 6x9's mounted in the cargo panels. clean and loud

JVC CD/MP3 reciever, lightning audio 12" subwoofer and two 6x9 in their own box. i drive the sub with an old school 300 watt amp (hand me down).

got any pics of 6x9 mounted in the rear cargo panels? my 6x9 take up to much space (they are a carry over from my wrecked dodge). anyone running aftermarket speakers in the rear panel that fit in the stock protective grill? i like the stock look thats why im hesitant to cut in the 6x9

Alpine deck-45x4
powering the Alpine Type-R components in the front door
and the Type-R 6x9s in the tailgate
Rockford Fosgate 201S amp powering the 12" Type R sub
LOUD.

my amp is under the driver's seat, and the sub is in a hatchback box in the cargo area, probably takes up a little over 1 cubic foot.

Pioneer 4 x 50 head unit. Sony Xplods in the doors and cargo panels (small in the front and ~6" in the back). Alpine 10" pushed by a 250 Watt MTX amp. Works for me.

Alpine cd player 4x40watts. 5 1/2 inch round Alpine low profile speakers where the OEM speakers mounted on the doors. I'd like some additional sound in the rear but have yet to find the ideal placement. Where in the rear cargo panels is everyone ,mounting the 6x9's? PIctures???

So here is my set up:

Front: Boston Acoustics PRO60 6 1/2 with tweeters mounted in the kick pannels
(gives a increable imaging effect and sound - for front staging of the audio system)

Rear Doors: Boston Acoustics PRO60 6 1/2

Rear Hatch: Eclipse 8263, just for tail gate music while beer driinking, (and rear fill)
I Can turn off the rest of the system and just play speakers off power from the radio.

Subwoofer: Boston Acounstic G2124 12" subwoofer

Clarion DB315 - came with the cruiser...fell in love with it because it has a wireless remote! I really want a Alpine with the iPod input/remote.

A/D/S Ph15 300w amp
A/D/S 642csi crossover
Audio Control EQL - Dual Band Equalizer/Line driver

Then the whole system has been set and tuned with a Spectrum Analyzer and also I used Dynomatt on all doors and other area as sound deading material.

The systems ROCKS! Not trying to have a loud system, but crisp and clean sounding. Most of the gear was pulled from a car I had years ago that I used in Mobile sound comptitions.

Here is a shot of where the front tweeters are placed and the rear sub, the rest of the equipment is placed out of the way under the seats.

:)

Pioneer 6 cd changer wired through the original cassette player to
keep that classic look(cd changer is mounted in console) wireless remote
Infinty's front and back -with rotating tweeter(Best high mid speakers for the price)
Thinking about getting some 3 ways in back cause i need just a little more bass

6" 3-way Infinity Kappa's in the front, powered by an Infinity Kappa amp under my driver seat. In the rear I've got two 5"x7" 3-way Kappa's, powered by a Rockford Fosgate amp. In the dash is an Alpine CD/mp3 Phantom Face head unit (modle #7889). Also I've got two additional 1" tweeters mounted on the dash. Backing up those highs I have a band pass with two 10" JBL's powered by a Rockford Fosgate Amp. Also for long road trips I installed a dvd player with a 7inch tv screen, its tied into the rest of the sterio and it really sounds great. Ill get the rest of the pics soon.

I built in a couple of custom standouts/boxs - good for storage and same height as wheel wells b/w backseat and wells. works ok, but takes up a little space in cargo area- no more queen size bed room - time to get a rack :frown:

Clarion Tape deck (Carryover from last car. Sounds great and I like the functions),

front speakers I have some Rockfordfosgate to go in the doors, but couldnt get the windows to roll down with them in?

rear - Infinity Kappa 6 1/2"

Subs - 2 orion Cobalt 12's from way back in the day (I owned them in HS and have tradewd hands with me and a best friend of mine maybe 3 or 4 times. He owns them, but doesnt want the, quite now.) I have a 12" JL 12w3 to instal whenever I build a box to go by the weelwell hump.

Amp for the subs - Kicker z360 I think

System sounds good and i have maybe $200 in it, so it was cheap as poo. I bought a majority of the system on ebay as a package deal!

a few more.......sorry, camara sucks at night......
