Hey Mitch,

hmm... electical stooopid and stereo stooopid closely related.

how do you have a 4ch amp (1000w right?) power 6 speakers? not sure how that works... What speakers / amp / placement?

I would like 6 speakers (4 in doors, 2 in cargo side panels) but not sure how F + R would work (thinking fade) and a sub. thoughts?

thanks!

rob

The fronta are seperates(mid and a tweet). I think you could run the back speakers in parallel Both + to + and both - to - on the rear half of the amp. Just look for low ohm speakers, or you could run the rears in series. would be harder to wire, but would run more effieciently with 4ohm 0r 8 ohm speakers. 8 ohms would be better for a series hook up. I have a pretty clean amp and it is loud and clear.

I'm sure someone who knows more will speak up and tell you something else. This will work just fine.

Started grinding on my Pioneer Scion HU tonight. Lots of material off left and right side of plastic bezel to make it fit in the window of the FJ62 dash w/o modifying the dash at all. A little more grinding tomorrow when it's light ought to do it....

Update: OK, it's in, with no modification to the stock dash opening. Nice to be able to play MP3 discs. The face of Scion HU is slightly curved, so doesn't match up with the flat dash as well as I would like.

Kenwood double din receiver w/ CD and aux jack and satellite. 5 1/4 Pioneer speakers, Kenwood amp under passenger seat and Kenwood 5 1/4 in rear panel. I must confess it needs a sub. Thinking about mounting one under the driver's seat. Has anyone had any luck with that?
