Battery died on the 80 (figures - it was a Ford battery), so I bought a new one tonight. Spent the last hour and 45 minutes wrestling one of these fat bastards into my truck:

02850131000

Sears Die Hard Platinum 31M, 1150 CCA, 205 minutes reserve capacity.

It kicked my ass. 75 pounds and had to "modify" the tray to get it in, so in out in out with the battery.

Before when I started the truck it was like "gggggRum" but now it's all like "BA-RUM!!!!1!!1" and I'm all like:grinpimp:.

I have the P-5 Group 35 Sears Platinum, and I bought the right size for my truck. Wrestling to fit the wrong battery in there would suck. Did you get the bigger one on purpose?

Have your wife do it next time... maybe?:flipoff2:

How do these work for ya?

So, did the fat bastard really kick your ass, or are you walking around funny with a big smile one your face?

:D

1. Yes, it is.
2. In your dreams, nancy boy.
3. Yes.
4. Don't encourage him.
5. She had to help me lift it.
6. So far so good. Supposed to be the best battery you can buy.
7. Ya, my back hurts today. Problem is, I missed my target the first time I was lowering it in, and it got wedged between the radiator bracket something or other and the inner fender. No joke it took me 20 minutes of struggling then I really did call my wife to help me. :flipoff2:

These wet or gell cell? And how does the price compare to Optima?

75 pounds is a heavy fricken battery!

Dry cell (does that mean gel? I don't know this s***!)

You can compare the price to an Optima. It'd be like comparing a hundred dollar bill to two and half hundred dollar bills.

dry cell and gel cell are similar but not the same, gel cell has... well gel... dry is... dry, wet has liquid inside.:meh:

You don't even know what you bought?

For $100, one of their flunkies should have put in it for you. Then you don't have to stress your :princess: arms.:flipoff2:

yeah, they should have put it in

plus, you should have gotten the warranty - it prolongs battery life by many years, ask me how I know :grinpimp:

I know what I bought. It's a dry cell. I just don't know whether that means gel or not. Apparently it's similar but not the same.

What was that camp fire joke told on the new years run about a 9volt battery?:bounce:

One of my favorites.

What does a 9v battery and a womans a****** have in common?

You know it's wrong, but you're gonna lick it anyway. :hillbilly:

I go to bed way too early and miss out on the fun fireside chats..:frown:
