Seems like there are quite a few of us out in this area looking to see interest for a meet up thinking the 12th at Sierra Nevada maybe around lunch time what's everyone's interest or ideas for date and time?

Oh this hurts. Sierra Nevada ... I would have to take a taxi .... from Greensboro.

A weekend gathering would be preferable for us "down the mountain"! Harder to get away for a lunch 1.5 hours away!

Thats why I havent made any Upstate Meetings weekdays are rough to drive all the way down then back up.

I recommend you guys do what's best for those of you in and around Asheville and just keep us posted and if we can make it, bonus!

Perhaps if you had the meeting in Hendersonville rather than Asheville it would be more appealing to those of us in the upstate. Weekends are certainly preferred.

Can we reach out to the moderators and have them change the thread title to "Hendersonville /Asheville"

Good idea I am open for whatever weekends are good for me. This is an open thread for discussion it was just the Sierra Nevada was just mentioned in another thread for a possibility. I don't know too much about Hendersonville except seeing all of the apple stands. Anyone have any recommendations for that area. I was thinking if we could get a decent head count we might want to look into getting a reservation where ever we decide on.

Thing about Sierra Navada is the parking lot it all the way inside the surrounding terrain. Which might be a plus. We can all chit chat and do whatever then all head in and enjoy.

Also there is a river access on the left right after you turn right off of 191 onto Ferncliff Park Dr. Nice area too.

Can't have vehicles on the grass but of you drive all the way to the ramp the lot is pretty big. It would be cool to CARAVAN all thr cruisers into SN from the park area!
Just sayin!

I'll get a few pictures of it on my way home today.

This is from Google Maps.

A silver star membership ($20) here on MUD allows editing of your posts and thread titles, as well as some other things. Hover or click on your screen name (top right corner) and select Account Upgrades. It also gives @woody a couple of buck for keeping this site private and well maintained for all these years. It won't bribe him into bringing back the app, though. :punch:

This is the park on the road into Sierra Nevade BEFORE you get to the round-a-bout.
it's a state park so as long as it's not packed it could prove nice.

Front area is about 10-11 parking spaces.
Back lot closer to the river access ramp is over 20 or so. Half of them are longer for vehicles with trailers.

Going to Sierra Nevada stirs up similar excitement as driving onto the Disney World property did as a kid!
