Laurel might be able to get off. If there is room I'm gonna come either way. No snorkel. uh Oh.

I will let you know after next week. I'm heading out to do a "dry" run with the group from overlandguild. So far we have 10 rigs registered for the June event, so I'll post up as soon as I get back.

Looks like we are installing 2 or 3 snorkels at the shop next Tuesday.
So did snorkels get installed? Who all added one? How long did it take?

After hearing more about this trip today at the meeting (and looking more closely at this thread); Evan, Logan and I would like to join if you still have room.

Well crap. I just got a message from Jason....
Well, I'm having to do something that I've never done before - Cancel a trip. I have had some issues come up that have made it detrimental for me to be away from home for this weekend. I hate doing this, given the late nature of this message.

I attempted to find a couple of people I trust to take a group out and they were initially for it until the local news started forecasting 4.5" of rain for the area from Tuesday-Sunday. That coupled with the current water levels would make almost all stream crossings into unpassable death traps.

This is the route I was intending to use for this weekend.

HWM

It is aimed for water crossings, given that the trip is the high water mark trip. These are already pretty decent right now, just high enough to be fun but not high enough to require a snorkel.

Again, I am terribly sorry and if I felt comfortable being away from home during this time frame I would be there - even if submarines are needed.

So with that I will not be able to do my "dry" run....which is OK. I ran most of it last year. He posted it up the route he was going to run this weekend however based on my conversation with him it is more water crossings and less technical stuff. The original route is more technical and less water. So.....we will run this map HWM15Public

We will start in Jerusalem Arkansas and end in St. Joe. Meeting time will be around 12-1 pm we will meet at the Circle H Store. Pick up any last items and go. I would like to keep the total group to 12 rigs. So if Dave and Axle want to go...you guys are welcome. It will be an awesome trip and the water levels should be down so we can comfortably cross everything without any floaties.....

I will ask Laurel to verify she can still come. They have to cancel patient visits but hopefully it will still work. Thanks Sam for the pre-work/checking route info etc. and I bet it will be an awesome trip. Kelly and Mike and whoever was going to do one night in a hotel, do you have the place picked out already? If so where? And would that be Friday night?

@SammyT08FJ how big are the campsites along that route ? My tent is big enough to hold my family ( probably takes up as much room as my 80) just want to make sure I'm not taking up all the space.

Also, we will have two trucks in the group from Lawrence. Mine and my buddy who just bought @85badger Lexus a few weeks ago and is ready to try it out on some trails. He used to be a member on here back when he had his 40 series but I don't think he has been on in a while.

I'm not sure about the bottom half of the trail. The top half should not be a problem. Last year Jeff broke his ring and pinion with 60 miles to go so that's the reason we could not finish the whole thing. I'm pretty sure we can figure something out.

So it sounds like we'll be running the more technical route....Is there a Google Maps doc of the map we're running? Kind of curious to scope it out by Google earth view.

I'm actually curious about his also. I feel comfortable with just about anything four wheeling, but I'm really not that experienced in off road navigation. I've always just kind of winged it when exploring. How are you guys planning to keep to this actual route ?

So, this is the end of the trail right here.
