Are LT tires a good idea to run on the 100 series (1 Viewer)

Yes. They provide a firmer ride, more control/less sway when loaded down or when towing, are more puncture-resistant off-road, etc. However, if you run them then you can no longer go by the suggested pressures on the door jamb -- those are for stock-sized P-rated tires only.

With E-rated LTs I'd recommend a minimum of 38psi on-road (you can get by with much less when wheeling), and that you read this document about tire pressure and LT-rated tires: https://www.toyotires.com/media/bszlobyw/tsd-12-011_replacing_tires_on_light_trucks.pdf

Quote below from that document:
Please note that size-for-size; LT-metric tires require higher air pressure to carry equivalent loads of
P-metric tires
, and that any failure to adjust air pressures to achieve the vehicle’s load requirement will result
in tire fatigue and eventual tire failure due to excessive heat build-up.
