Have you looked at AFN front bumper ? It dos'nt protrude out as far the Aussie bumpers.

I have the ARB, what would you like to know? Ultimately went w/ the ARB after looking at some of the details in the reinforcement between the two. ARB hoops continue through the skin of the bumper and are tied to the framework. I’d be happy to share any pics or install tips
Hi can you tell me where you bought your ARB ? Is it on our 470?

When I was considering the ARB Prado 150 bumper the best option was to buy from a stocking ARB dealer that could order direct with ARB USA. Last year they had very few Prado 150 bumpers in all the United States, two in fact at the time and soon after there were none for all of the Americas. I was working with Main Line Overland to secure one when I decided to go with the Ironman instead and for that I bought direct. There are stocking Ironman dealers as well but I never found their prices to be any better direct.

I still haven't made up my mind yet. I also see that Ironman is sold out for the 470 right now. Metal Tech sells ARB and I believe Rocky Road does too.

This will still fit the GX even though it says it’s for a 4Runner? I know they are similar, but wasn’t sure about the bumpers.

The picture is deceiving as they show a 4Runner but this is the exact part number I ordered and it clarifies in the product overview.

Regarding availability at Ironman, they told me via their website chat that the GX470 model would be back in stock in mid/late February.

They're all spec's for prado, so mods for GX fitment.

I found an ARB in 4th gen 4r and hand measured..from grill it sets forward 7".
AFAICT, This is to account for a winch to mount on the bumper tray, in front of bumper beam, not replacing bumper beam.

4WP. They were running discounts and free shipping. It ended up being a few hundred more than the Ironman setup.
What sale/coupon did you find to apply to the bull bar? I've been watching 4WP sales and coupons for over a year to apply to an ARB with no luck.

Also, does anyone have a head on view of the Ironman?

Maybe its just picture angle but it looks like the vertical braces on the ironman are wider apart and may block highbeam light some? Does anyone with the Ironman 470 bumper experience any interference with the high beam pattern?

@joabmc can you measure the distance on your ARB? also pics of the hoop reinforcement you talked about would be awesome!

Anyone else to measure the Ironman?

Well, with 25% off everything they sell right now, I went ahead with the Ironman. Should be delivered next week. $975 out the door and shipped.

@kody472
RAD!once you get it all fitted and done, would you post-up a bunch of shots and measurements? deapther from grill to bumper and to pusher-bar, how it mounts (I think it's kind of like dissent in there's a center winch tray, then the side pieces bolt onto it), width b/t upright bars, good front shot, good profile shot (from a distance zoomed is a good way to take out distortion from wide-angle pics), heck maybe straight down to show how the grill interacts and what trimming needs to be done there, details on fender flare trimming, etc. etc. and so on!! :)

*edit* just stumbled on this simple walkaround vid on YT. It kind of shows the grill clearancing needed and a quick idea of fender flare trimming as well as an idea of protrusion forward. Interestingly it doesn't have recovery points, i hadn't considered that before and just assumed. . .

@DRANGED I am planning on installing the Ironman bar this weekend so I’ll try to get some info for you. I pre-ordered back in March and got it last week.

The bumper is one piece, there is a separate winch cradle that mounts between the framerail but the sides don’t bolt to it like you described.

ah cool. I'd misunderstood the description from their video.
But in LOOKING and listening, i see the bumper is one pice and mounts to the winch tray which is mounted to the frame first.
Thanks for clearing that up in my muddled mind ;)

Nice. I’d like to see it as well.
