So you're on ARB's mailing list as well :)

Does look like a slick, clean setup. Did I miss the part about how to control anything if you dont have your phone?

I like it and also don't like it. I like the fact that everything can be tied into my tablet for easy viewing, switching, ect. I don't like that you'd, potentially, be tied to a specific ecosphere, that's assuming you can't use other than ARB associated products with it. Maybe you can, I just didn't see it.
Also, I like analog switches. I don't want to have to wait for my frozen tablet to reboot to turn on my lockers. :)

I think this is really neat and will be great for some people, for me I'll stick with switches, relays and fuses.

Whats the MSRP? I'm thinking if those stupid overpriced SPODs cost $700 this has to be in the $2,000 range.

So if you drop your phone and smash the screen
(like I smashed my iPad screen in Moab...),
you're hosed.

No thanks.

I think it would be cool if it was an ADDITIONAL means of control...
...but not the replacement, or only means of control.

Even for those who prefer mechanical switches it's still easy to run out of usable switch blanks. I'm currently maxed out between air compressor, front/rear lockers, roof light bar, and dust light / roof power for RTT (second set of switches on the roof).

I have rock lights and hopefully an aux tank on the way and would technically be in the market for a streamlined solution. The sPOD still seems like the cleanest install...

Nice. Next-gen? Voice controls, hand gestures, HDMI output so you can combine with my post about pushing HDMI output to the dash and see the screen on your dash (can't use touchscreen there, but you can monitor the screen), that way you can set the device to something useful and put it in your glove box.

But really, I have to assume this is on a physical device (vs app) because ARB isn't a tech company and doesn't want to be. I understand that, but this should be a Bluetooth app. It's early, so they get a pass for developing this. However, they should port it to a Bluetooth device that can be reached via app. Until then, I wouldn't buy it. Like Markuson said, the screen dies and you're dead in the water, vendor sucks. Phone dies? That's on us to figure out.

Edit to add: this functionality could potentially be built vendor-agnostic for a power switch using a raspberry Pi with Bluetooth and could be voice activated using android functions. @linuxgod

These arrived

I’m really excited about this! Have you had a chance to play with it? Would you say it’s a pretty stable/safe platform at this point? I need to add some accessories to my new to me 200 and am looking at solutions now - mainly spod and switchpros.

Nope, that pictures is a few hours after our truck freight arrived and we have some of the first in the US. That said I spent a great deal of time playing with the demo unit in ARB's Tacoma, I liked it enough to hold off 4 months to finish my setup :D

Did the training on this and looked at the demo a lot. There are things to like and things not to like.

The main unit is not waterproof and can't be mounted in the engine bay. So from an installer point you have to run a control wires to relays in the engine bay. This works if you already have ARB compressors and lockers and want to get a different controlling system, but does not simplify wiring.

The controller is pretty much a phone that is stripped down with added testing done by ARB for high temperature when sitting on the dash of the vehicle. The controller does talk bluetooth to the unit, but one would probably install it with cable otherwise the battery will run out. Also they have a cool magnetic mount for the controller.

The cool things they have is the pressure regulators that you can control with this. Work well to inflate airbags and with some custom air line running, one could set it up to inflate/deflate 4 tires.

I just wish they had looked at what else was on the market and took some US installer input when they were in the development stage.

We do a ton of electrical installs and the new SwitchPro 9100 system is hard to beat. Solid state mountable in the engine bay. No fuses or relays to fail. One control wire to run into the car, permanently mounted 8 switch panel that also talks Bluetooth to phone or tablet. The latest generation 9100 also has improved trigger wire inputs making wiring options really easy for example backup lights switched with backup, or independently. Same with driving lights synched to high beams or not.

What is really nice about that setup is wiring camping lights to the system and being able to turn them on and off from a rooftop tent etc.
