DC, is it me or is it hanging low on the passenger side below the turn signal?

Yeah, it is, result of some altercation Christo had with that wing (and my attempt to correct it). I plan on putting in a rubber filler strip, which will hopefully make it less noticeable. But not too big a deal to me as is.

I looked around a possibly missed it but do any of you guys have the part number for the ARB fog lights that go in the bumper inserts?(not the $300+ IPF) Its for the 03+ combo bar

Sorry to dredge this thread up, but I didn't realize that the fog light kit was so cheap (I've still been seeing the IPF kits for like $250-300).

Nick, the little 3.5" lights that I bought to put in the cutouts on my ARB are not going to work without a custom made shroud and bracket...by the time I get around to ghetto rigging them in, it'd be cheaper and cleaner to just get the kit from Slee.

Since you are the HID master, do you think that the ARB lights would be a decent host for a 3000k 35w HID kit, or is the housing too small to accommodate the bulb and increased heat?

Can you post some photos of those lights you bought?

I think a 3000K 35W system would be fine in there. I would put a H3C in there, a regular H1 will be to long. Your going to kill the chrome bowl in the long run, but for occasional use and $70 for the pair. I wouldn't stress over it. You will have to epoxy the bulbs in.

The ARB FOG's are going for $83 on TRDPARTS4U.com.
Additional 15% off tonight after midnight.
Discount code "cyber2011"

Good price, but Slee has them for $85, and I can drive over and pick them up so I wont have to pay shipping. Sort of a wash that way...and I can support a local vendor. ;)

Whats the difference between an H3 and an H3C HID bulb? Im picking up my new Sahara bumper next week along with the fog lights and was already looking at upgrading the bulbs. I have HID headlights in the cruiser and know from experience that they will wash out the standard fog lights. I like the fill that the stock fogs provide between the bumper and the headlight beam....and yes, the stock fogs have HIDs in them.

Has anyone converted their ARB fog lights to HID lights?

BTW, I broke one of the old IPF lights in my last bumper and was fortunate enough to have a friend at ARB send me a replacement gratis. The replacement was hit by a rock and broken three days after install....talk about bunk!

H3C will give you a much better beam pattern since the arc is in the same position as the halogen filament. The pattern on the ARB is garbage so putting a HID kit in there would just blind oncoming traffic. I'm not saying don't do it, but the tired mother with 3 screaming kids in the back getting blinded by fog lights on a dark road is another story.

Guilt trip... I thought the C was just a different connection with the same size bulb. Are you saying that the H3 is longer than the H3C which will lengthen the filament and mess up the pattern reflection even more than it already is?

The H3C is a compact bulb that will replicate the beam pattern of the halogen fairly well. I shouldn't of said the beam pattern sucks. It's actually pretty wide and flat, which is good. But even with 55W halogens they have quite a bit of glare (in my opinion). I would think a 35W with 4300K H3C would work nicely. I can pull my ARB light and jam a H3C in there tomorrow if I have time. Both my bulbs are burned out so maybe time for a new addition (projector fogs though).

That would be great to see, I was thinking about 35w 5000k, not a big fan of the yellow tint that seems to come with the 4300.

4300 will give you the most usable light and appear factory. 5K for fog light is to much. Choose your K's carefully as they make a huge difference. Can you guess which is which?
