The ipf lights are way to big. They won't even go in the cutout.

The directions suck. So those don't help.

I know arb is now making there own fog lights, could the shop have ordered the wrong kit? Or am I missing something???

hahah, I think I know what your talking about. When mine came in they deffinately were not going to fit either. So I just zip tied them in (since they were free). Had i paid the outrageous amount of money for them I would have pursued it further. I remember reading a thread somewhere about a new part#, which is also cheaper than took the place of those fog lights. Might want to check because you probably got the old ones.

Uhhh... didn't you put like 3 or 4 lights up there?

Keep the IPF one's the ARB ones are crap, one set blew up driving in heavy rain, next set filled with mud, next set shattered wen I done a river crossing on the weekend. Not bad in the space of two months, If i have to buy another set this year i'm pulling those buggers out and putting the blank caps in

Back in February, Arb changed the combo bumper to accept a different fog light insert. I ordered my bumper through metal tech and ordered the fog light insert through torasport. I ordered the older kit number not knowing I had the "newer" bumper style. I got stuck with the $300 light kit and couldn't return it since I opened the back of parts. I sold the kit on fjcruiserforums and bought the light kit directly from ARB. I got a discounted rate since I got screwed on the initial fog light kit. You can get the new kit for $80 or so...mine was significantly cheaper.

BendFJ,

I have the older version '03 ARB combo. Say I want the new $80 ARB lights. I need the new plastic inserts, correct? Any idea what those cost?

No clue on what the cutouts cost. I asked arb to send the older style cutout kit. They insisted that they sent me the arb lights and refunded my money. Got em for free :)

they look good. Definatley NOT as stout or the quality of the ipf's but they work fine.

I'll post shots of the arb lights upclose in a bit.

I sent an email to ARB about putting the new lights into their pre-February '03 combo bar and their response was:

"Unfortunately the surrounds for the new lights are dimensionally
different so the cut outs in the bumper have changed with the newer part
number. As a result the new type lights cannot be used in replacement of
the IPF lights."

hoser, here are some pics of the arb fog light kit.

if ya really want, send me your ipf set, ill send you my arb setup. its brand new :D

Can't do it. The new bumper has a different insert size. They will not interchange. ARB did this so they could offer a more economical fog light set.
Another guy just posted that he didn't like the cheaper ones since he has gone through three sets....maybe you are better off with the IPF's.

I'd say call slee tomorrow but they're off. So call ARB and see if they can ship them out to you (slee woulda dropshipped them from ARB anyways). And stop breakin chit!
