the deluxe ARB bar with the IPF fog lights are promoted as the "bees knees"..as in the best.
I've had two RHF "fog" lights die, one was replaced and the RHF accessoriy lamp is dead on mine and nearly EVERY f'ing install iv'e seen.
Why? For me, mine was installed AT ARB HQ in Kilsyth where they don't give a flying f*** about your car. (search me for my other posts on that).
At the moment i have a dead RHF IPF "fog" lamp and accessoriy lamp.
My servicer couldn't undo it, i couldn't undo it either ....the bolts spin. I went to ARB HQ in Kilsyth...they said "apply more force to it..." FFS..
I posted on LCOOL about it and responses were that it's game over.
I'll have to take off the bar just to change these lamps/bulbs due to a poor design.
This is a big job given the weight of the bar.
It's gonna come off eventually to address a few other ARB install issues.
Anyway, theres a new co here that has their own bullbar and a foglight insert. I phoned them and asked if it could be retro fitted into where the so called ARB foglight lives and they said "no it's much bigger".
So i've thought about it for a while and given i'm gonna have to pull the bar to change the globes and junk the IPF "fog lamps" (they may as well be candles after extensive fog driving) i'm gonna see how these things fit.
So here's the URL, the web address
www.mcc4x4.com
The website isn't as good as the magazine ads they have.
Good luck in finding the light i'm trying recommend, but i think it's the "falcon" bar. They have an insert in their bar that has the Mercedes/Audi type of LEDs and you can get the lower one, the top one or both.
So i've added this mod to my list,
"pull the ARB Deluxe bar, fix everything, then look at this mcc4x4 light insert"
cheers
peter
edit: why do i call it a "so called fog lamp"??? because i've driven in the fog, heavy fog, light fog, and the IPFs that they give you are crap. May as well just drive with the parkers/the accessory lamps on. Don't buy IPFs from ARB if you want fog lamps. Buy/option lamps that are KNOWN fog lamps. Not token ones.
