I would estimate the ARB Bull Bar bumper on my 100 wieghs 150-ish pounds. With that and my WARN XD9000 winch, about 80lbs the front end sagged 3/4 of an inch from the orginal hieght (with stock bumper only)... and that is using the OME T-Bars (I added the ARB after my lift). I crank the T-bars back up the 3/4 in. I presume the front ride is stiffer now but I don't really feel the difference in the handleing then without

Deer at 50

Make sure you raise your Cruiser as much as possible before hitting the deer to avoid window damage.
Use all-thread thru accordian mounts  Problem solved!

Anyone know how the bull bar will handle hitting a deer at say 40-50mph? :)

Be sure to carry your hibachi :D

You’ll need to replace the stock grill with a heavy-duty grill. One like Spressomon recommends!:D

A decent fabricator could rework those "crush zones" and more solid mounting system with plate steel. I don't really know if this is needed though?

Regarding tow hooks, the best OEM I've seen are the Chevy/GM style "hooks", which are shaped like a big question mark and have no sharp point. The strap stays on those better. The FORD Superduty style "eyes" are very stout too compared to the Toyota ones.

I'm planning on using the Chevy style hooks and I'll post a write-up when I do.

Bumping this to the top. I just got my Sahara bar and did a search on install threads and didn't turn up much. Most folks say it's pretty simple, so hopefully that is the case!

Any links to build threads, pics or how-to's appreciated.

I can confirm: it is pretty simple and straight forward.

Two quick questions....

How much of a hassle will it be to fit the bumper then remove it again once I buy the winch?

ARB is backordered on the chrome hoop. I read through the instructions and it looks like this can be installed after the bumper goes on so it will be no problem not having it now. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

I have the deluxe bull bar and if the install is similar it can be easily removed for winch install. With the deluxe the winch can be installed with the bumper on the vehicle but I seem to remember the winch mounts on a tray feet down with your bumper vs. on the bumper with feet forward on the deluxe. Can't answer your chrome hoop question. Merry Christmas!

Back from the dead.......quickie ?
Getting ready install a vr8000 winch on my 99 w/ ARB deluxe bullbar
3413050.... I seem to remember the winch itself gets bolted to a cradle that mounts to the frame instead of the bullbar itself.... Can I install my winch to the frame/cradle without removing the bullbar itself?

Quick question, didn't want to start a new thread:

Can I get a deluxe bumper, unboxed, into the back of my 100 with the tailgate closed? Slee guys said it's doable. The guy from work helping me with the install on Sunday didn't bring his truck to work today to transport it from my house to his.

Wanted to get some opinions before sweet talking my wife into helping me Sunday morning and her getting mad as hell.
