No updates. My bumper is apparently being walked across the company in a horse-drawn cart. It's currently in Des Moines

ARB recently changed the way they sell and warehouse bumpers. 1 part number for the bumper, 1 for the fit kit, and the pricing was separated out. I guess they just couldn't figure out after 30 something years how to stock and keep the fit kits with the bumpers.

My bet would be that you get the bumper without the necessary fit kit (brackets, hardware, etc), and those were fit kits always pretty expensive ($400-700).

I just emailed their customer support and they said it does not come with the mounting kit

Pretty annoyed because that information is not listed on their site anywhere

Guess I’ll buy the mounting kit from the 4WP no tax sale unless anyone has a cheaper source

These things seem to NEVER go on sale. ARB and 4WheelParts sell them for $1,700 but this retailer, Revtec Autoparts has the on sale right now for $1,185 + you can sign up to their newsletter and get another 10% off making it $1,066 + tax and ~$80ish for overweight shipping.

I bought the bumper and the additional fog light kit for $1,373 out the door with tax

I went through this. I got a tracking number for my fog light kit which came via UPS. My Bumper shipped via XPO freight and I had to email RevTec customer support to get the tracking for that.

I get the feeling they are just drop shipping these directly from someone else so they're not super in tune with all the logistics. However, their customer support has been very responsive.

That's exactly what they are doing. They don't have specific product knowledge. They resale thousands of parts and position themselves as the low price leader. If you get a complete bumper with fit kit, it'll be because it slipped through the cracks..... old stock sold at the new pricing scheme.
