Dangcat, thanks for the reminder. Had already emailed, followed up with a text.

Really think the expandable 52L model will work great for my family.

Hope the next opportunity with Iceco is not too far off and I end up regretting the switch.

It won’t be brother. A lot of it is waiting on me so I will do my best to wrap this one up and make sure the participants of this one are happy, and then we move forward with next one which I hope to have something even better for you guys, whether it be more models to choose from, or better prices on certain older models/overstock.

Mud will be the first to know. Thank you!!!

Thanks for doing this, Dangcat! I was looking at the ICECO unit on an Indiegogo campaign this week and decided to check the Ih8mud forum to see if anyone had experience with their products. Had been looking at the usual suspects that are highly regarded but pricey over the last few months. Ordered the VL65 dual zone yesterday with the 25% discount. Great timing!

Thanks from me too, Dangcat! I dropped out of the thread because I ended up ordering the cooler on the Indiegogo campaign. So I'm the opposite of Tallenhouston.

But you can tell IceCo that they can count me as one of your "buys" because the only reason I found out about the Iceco Indiegogo cooler is because I found this thread first. I was looking at Arb vs Dometic vs Snomaster, and in researching that I came upon this thread which is how I found out about IceCo. I had never heard of it before!

Remember I had been thinking of the strategy of buying two coolers? I only bought one -- I'll see how it works and then decide whether to buy another cooler, or maybe one of the VL series. So I may end up being part of the next group buy after all!

And more important, I found about ih8mud! I'd never heard of this website before, and am glad I joined.

Really appreciate your time and feedback, and it is my pleasure to be able to help! Thank you for sharing.

One thing you can consider is the expandable model as well, and I will make some material for next group buy to help give you guys a closer look at both the ICooler and the Expandable. Since you’re getting the ICooler, please give us an update once it arrives and after you had some time to play with it!

Anyone else having problems with the voltage cutoff? Got my JP50 this week, and today I tried it in my truck. Plugged it on a multi-outlet in the front of the truck and made sure to put the fridge in eco mode. Checked voltage at the outlet with a multi meter while the fridge is running and it shows 12.4 - 12.5 volts. Cutoff set at Low. After a minute or so the fridge shuts off and the display shows E1.

Alternately, did any of you wire directly to the battery for the fridge?

That ARB unit off Amazon doesn't look like it's compatible with the power cord that came with my fridge. Are you also getting a different power cord or power plug?

Thanks @Whoareu2200 , great idea!

I have a really old battery that dealer recommended I change over 20k miles ago, and so I haven’t tested running it off the car battery when car is off.
I have a power strip that goes into my 110v in back, and I plug my Jackery and 2 other small power banks into it, and the fridge is plugged into the 110v on battery. You could run a power strip like me and add a Jackery into the mixx, then plug the Jackery into 110v and 12v cigarette lighter at the same time, so that when car is on it draws from plug in back (via strip) and when car is off it draws from cigarette lighter in front. Jackery automatically prioritizes AC over DC, so when AC is on DC is disabled.

I haven’t check it the Jackery has battery protection, but if it does then it would be a way to solve that puzzle, as well as a way to store excess power from battery to be converted to extra run time when vehicle is off. If I didn’t let my uncle borrow my Noco booster, I’d test it for you. Unfortunately I have no way to jump myself at the moment so I don’t want to risk it with my old battery.

It is actually less efficient to run it off of 110 than 12v as the fridge needs to convert it back to 12v.
And I would not plug them into the stock 12v outlets. These need a dedicated outlet with larger wiring then stock. I would use a minimum of 10 AWG if not 8.

Direct connection seems to work much better, temporarily stealing power from my radio. Fridge has been sitting for an hour or so, voltage down from ~12.5 to 11.9. Maybe I need a new battery too.

Good to know, thank you! Not sure why I didn’t think of that. Unfortunately for me I have a lot more 110v plugs than 12v, and for some strange reason my Renogy 72000 mah will not power the fridge via the 12V output, but it can power my laptop via the 19V (same plug as 12V but higher output via a setting), which is rated at 95 watts. On top of that the 12V output cable on the Jackery is broken so both of my external 12V sources are not usable for the fridge. The renogy has a range of 12V-21V And can power my laptop so I’m really puzzled there, otherwise I’d run it off the 12V from the Renogy.

Thanks for the update bud, and let us know what you decide in the end, as to how to power it. Your feedback is much appreciated.

I had a VL60 dual zone with cover and a slide in my cart and apparently I waited too long :(
@Dangcat is it too late for the group buy?

The coupon ended on the 15th, but DM me your number and I can ask Lu or Christine to call and take your order, and manually apply discount.

As far as coupons go, next group buy will be In August and will include the new models!

Got UPS tracking number for my VL60 with cover yesterday night. Super exited!

Thanks for the update, and thank you for participating.

I have to say im a little bit jealous of all you dual zone folks, and I think next one they send me will be used as a freezer. Ice cream is nice, but waiting for the ice to melt so you can drink your water is not  . I’m going to ask for a GO20 or a second one to use a freezer lol.
