how does the whole firepit thing work there....I saw no ground fires. Do they have pits or do you have to bring one? Anyone suggest a good site? S12 does sound bad but I'd hate to leave the little ones in the tent sleeping to come hang out with everyone.
 
Normally we start at S29 and start filling in the sound side, and move back to the covered areas behind the first row. I haven't called yet, but it looks like we may want to be closer to the cabins, than away from them! I'll give them a call and see what's open. We haven't had a problem in the past about ground fires, but it may have changed.

ok good deal. let me know what you come up with. I called a little bit ago and sections "A" were for camper trailers. he suggested sections 27-54 for tents if we wanted to be close to cabins 12 and 13 but that puts us even further away from Jason.
 
I may be out for this trip. I have too much stuff going on. Im not sure if cruiser will be ready. I also just landed a huge landscape job so i may be doing that that weekend.

I do have a cabin reserved thurs thru sun. If someone needs one.

Dang it man..... is it the 1 or 2 BR? We might be interested as I've not made a reservation yet but I'd sure rather see you guys there.

Dang it all. Jumping ship like rats. Hope you can make it as well Meatball.

No worries about being far away from us. It is only a 90 second walk to the cabins from where we are. Just wish someone was in the sound as that is the best place for fires and gathering without bothering other people. But the Cabins area is a good spot as well and have seen some big parties in there.

right now it seems like Keefer, Jason, You, and we will be making our final reservations in the next day or two....Meetball should know by Friday for sure. It's gonna be fun but I was certainly hoping for a bigger crew.
 
If Emma didn't get a promotion and have to travel, I'd be there. I thought long and hard, as I think I would be the only ONSC'r to make all STRs to date. It REALLY is my favorite trip, even though y'all know how much I enjoy the wheelin'.

well we're definitely going I just wish we had a group of sites for us all to be together more or less. I've been trying to get the wife to OBX since we've been married. hard to believe it's been almost 7 years since I've been there. Can't wait.

We understand Ramon. you can tell my your youtube account how much you love this. the videos are great. Will sure miss you there.

Sorry to say Im for sure out. Too much going on. I just landed a huge landscape job that I need to get done. Between school, govt job and landscaping company weekends are about the only time I have to get the job done. :doh:

Eric if you want the cabin let me know. Its booked thurs-sun. It has 2 beds. It's right next to allen.

I'm sorry. I could use some obx time to chill and relax.

Live to work or work to live. I get promotions all the time. And they SUCK that much more everytime. Today there were some privates mowing the lawn in the perfect Savannah weather enjoying the sun and breathing the fresh air. I asked what they did to get that awesome job and they said got caught with drugs. s*** sign me up.

Hey guys, The more I think about it, the more I am not sure we are going to be able to make this happen. I had hoped that we would all be together and able to put the twins down in the tent to sleep and not worry too much about it. I really don't feel great about the idea of putting them down and walking to go hang out if I can't see them. Maybe it's just me but I really enjoy being in a big group with all you guys and don't really care for everyone being scattered all over the campground. Maybe the next ride we plan for this we could get more commits early (myself included) and plan on having one big group area. Sorry guys.
 
So we're down to Allen, Jason, and myself? Eric if it makes any difference, I was shooting to get the site next to you, that would put the official hangout near us! 5 sleeping kids takes priority!
