Ramon is going... Other than that I'm not sure who is making it. Good thing we're not making this a big ride!​
 
Alright, well let's start lining up the events. I'll post up the artwork this weekend. I think we're coming in Wednesday...

Wednesday: Ocracoke?
Thursday: Frisco Area, Kayaking, Dinner?
Friday: Trip up North, which stops do we want? (Bodie, Corolla, Jockey's Ridge?) Outer Banks Brewing Station for dinner?
Saturday: Frisco area, Shrimp and Oysters (fresh from Hatteras)
Sunday: Home

Jason: Arriving Monday? C-17
Adam: Arriving Thursday-Friday Cabin 12
Allen: Arriving Wednesday-Thursday? Cabin 13
Brian: Arriving Wednesday
Ramon: Arriving?

Wednesday: Ocracoke? I think that is a great Idea. We wanted to head up one of the days and that seems as great as any.

If I'm paying for that damn permit I'm going to use it...if anyone doesn't want to pay I will ferry people out as I will be buying one on Monday when we get there.

This is a pretty small turnout. There has to be more than this showing up.Come on Al and Andrea!!!! It is only a 6 hour trip one way :) Even for only a couple days. Don't think the park would have a problem with you camping in our spot so you wouldn't even have to reserve one.
 
I don't remember who lined up the trip into the secure area, as I wasn't there last year. I think we need to try. But, we've seen horses outside of the sanctuary, just on the north-west side of Corolla/Carova...
 
Since I'm flying solo... I probably won't come down until Thursday early morning. I would love it if we could do Ocracoke a different day - but I'll defer to the group. Not sure if I'll be trailering the 40 or not, but likely will just be in the 80 unless the forecast is phenomenal. If I'm in the 40, I likely won't make the trip north, unless I tag along in an empty seat.

Looking forward to the trip still, just wish the :princess: was coming too! May or may not bring Splash, gametime decision.

6 hours.... where do you think i'm driving from.... its almost 6 from raleigh if you stop for gas and food.

7-8 for me depending on what i'm driving and number of gas stops.

I can get to Florida and go Gator hunting in the same time ;)


I'd love to go, just isn't in the cards right now. I doubt Andrea can take the time off again in one monthy (she is currently in florida for the week) and I can't afford to miss work... plus I can't miss my school class that week.

I really want to attend, however I do not want to stay at Frisco Woods and staying someplace else would be a bit awkward. Still considering.........
 
I'm not sure what happened last year with Frisco woods but I think you should just stay there anyway. I'm sure there is something else near by though. But give Frisco another chance. I've been there 3 times now and never had any problems at all.
 
So hopefully i have the 40 road legal buy str. Lots to do..... seats, seat belts, mirrors, uhhh spedo doesnt work. Oh yeah inspection and registered.
 
Hey Folks - sorry for the late notice but I am reluctantly backing out on my favorite trip of the year. Please don't post any pictures, as I am already regretting the decision :( Hope y'all have great weather and lots of fun.

That is a bummer. Hopefully something changes and you can still make it out. We will be coming but in what I don't know. My Touareg is still not done and the Pop ups we've been looking at would be outside our tow rating for the E320 hitch as well. Flipping Germans...I need to stay Japanese.
 
Calling Frisco woods this morning to see what's left....I was seriously slacking the last few weeks and I hope I don't pay too dearly for it. I really didn't this it would work out for us to go but it is now looking much better. Hope to know more in a couple hours.

Brian, What spot did you guys get? Closest thing we could find was S12. no cabins left available for all 4 nights.
