I asked for permission to the private thread but have had no luck. Can anyone here please here hook me up? Just got a shower and warmed up. Freezing my ass off out in the box. All I can dream about is warm weather and drinking for a week straight at frisco. Freaking stoked out of my mind for this trip and need tj get the downlow on what others are planning. We are spot c17 and we will be there all week.
There is one thread in the "private" forum and it is from 4 or 5 months ago talking about beach fees. I don't know who has control for acess of it. As with years past only thing that IA planned is a ride on Friday to the state line and dinner on Saturday night that Brian is planning since I will not be there.
I beleive Greg is the only one who has permission to grant access to those areas.
Currently there is no chatter on the "Private" section, as this was set up when we had multiple committee's planning . I'm going to keep it open, in case we revisit the idea of making it a big ride again.
But, since it's just a club ride, we'll discuss in this thread...
I will be showing up either thurs pm or fri am. Wife will be comming with. The 40 should be on the road and ready to go by then. Not sure is im driving the 40 or towing it....
Are we doing a group dinner sat night?

Friday up to the state.line sounds good. Leaves all day sat to relax and prep the Dinner for evryone arriving late. How about Thursday for the kayack ride. Think we are headed.to ockarocke on Wednesday for.the day. That or Tuesday. No cruiser for us this year though. Need to pull the camper and the 62 can't do it so we will be beaching it on he treg. Let us know what we could bring for the potluck. How more can make it out. Still beyond stoked about this trip.
I'll be coming up Wednesday or Thursday. Probably gonna get a cabin b/c the wife is coming Friday evening. For that reason, I'd prefer the state line run be on Saturday, but I do realize, as Jason said, it makes sense to do it Friday, rather than trying to cut the ride short to get back early enough to cook.
I'd say if we do the run on Friday, we do the same thing for dinner that we did two years ago (out). Not sure what was done last year. Then, do the dinner at the Woods on Saturday..
Last year dinner was on your own on Friday, one group did a state line (carova) run and one group did an ocracoke run...both on Saturday. Pig was Saturday night. I can't make it this year, bummed about that.
Yeah, at the beginning of the season they're hard to get in touch with. I think there's only one person doing most of the work until it's in full swing.
Base camp is setup at Frisco Woods, near Buxton on Hatteras Island. We spend all nights there. They have campsites, and small cabins for rent. Your choice. From there, we take trips during the day - ie ferry to Ocracoake, drive up to Corolla (beach run to the VA/NC state line), and it's a hop skip and a jump across Hwy 12 to the beach at any time you choose. The campground has soundfront where you can play in the water, kayak, whatever. Mostly this all revolves around the consumption of large quantities of alcohol.
Did I mention how excited I am!! I get back on Monday and can help track some things if necessary. Like pot luck stuff or attendies and their camping locations. Really hope someone grabs.something on the back soundfront side for a gathering spot. We will be there early so we can help setup things if necessary. Just let me know. Been looking forward to this for years.
We also rented a 2 person kayak and a paddle board for the weekend. Bit sure when we want to do the kayak trip.
