just wondering if anyone has used or dealt with them and what they thought. They came highly recommended for some wiring issues im having and seem really knowledgeable.
thx

i wish i found them four years ago. would have saved me a shît ton of money and i would have been able to drive my truck.

my fingers are still crossed though.

so ive been really impressed with Dan over at Wholesale. They are working crazy fast getting my wiring back in and correct. he also gives me updates constantly. It took them one day to get the new harness in the truck and truck started.....it's been two years and three different people working on it since it ran right :/.

so it looks like i'll be doing a few upgrades to the 74...this isn't my truck but it look quite similar. Dan is installing a OEM new 70 front grill and updated headlights.

35% off.

Dan has been a valued member of the LC community here in Western Canada for many years.

IIRC, he is the guy that imported a couple of Mega cruisers.

So your truck went from Boulder to Edmonton?
yep...in the long run it will cost me much less and also be done right. ive been very impressed with Dan so far.

No offense of the mechanic ive been using here but it was moving way too slow and he didnt really want to do the electrical work, which i dont blame him. his mechanical work was well done....but i just wasted money when i didnt have to.

when the truck is done it will be perfect and mint. Dan said the mechanical work done on the truck couldnt have been done better and the PO went well beyond what he needed to...that in itself made me happy...

yup he did. he imported 15BTs as well and put them in some LCs. he has another one and mentioned he could put it in my bj74. if i didnt have a ton of other projects i might have done it.

There must be a huge advantage going that far from Colorado when one factors in what the Canuck dollar is worth compared to the US dollar.
My only experience with 4Wheel Auto is with buying parts; i would not buy aftermarket parts from 4Wheel Auto, but getting used Toyota bits from the Cruisers they dismantle is worth it.
Glad to hear they do a good job with builds and repairs.

the biggest advantage is they know exactly what they are doing when it comes to the electrical and diesel on 70's series. ive been battling this from the time i bought the truck on here....the PO was top notch on the mechanical but cluster fücked the electrical work. These guys fixed most everything in 3 days....3 days!! The truck was at the last shop, who does crazy good work on LCs, for 2 years....

Agreed. Used parts are great, aftermarket parts are expensive compared to megazip or the other direct from japan sites even if you factor in shipping. Dan is a wealth of knowledge but I've had some issues with orders taking substantially longer than promised. He made it right with a store credit but it meant my truck was out of service for an exceptional amount of time longer than promised. I cant' speak on behalf of the service they provide as I do all my own work.

thought id share some pics of the updated grill and LED lights that the shop installed. The grill is from a 2012 70series i believe.
engine needs a cleaning which they'll do after the snorkel install. im very happy with their work and communication so far

If you ever rebuild a Toyota Diesel, you will get to know Dan. 4-Wheel Auto is the only distributor for Engines Australia up here.

Nice JW Speakers. I was disappointed with the Rigid / Trucklite output. Seriously considering a set with the new heated model out now.
