Anyone running clear side markers? (10 Viewers)

I've got crystals from MOT on my white 80 and it looks good. I don't have pics here, but I can post some from home. The rears are red on the bottom.

I've been searching too, trying to find you that thread ..... come to think of it, I wonder if it was something MOT had at one time.

Good memory! That probably was me since I did have one pair of the ones that go on the front fenderwells, similar to what Navid has.

But they are just lenses (and bulbs) and did not come with necessary wiring, sockets, etc... so I got him the OEM amber side marker assembly so he could complete his clear look.

Ty - I know when I was dealing with Mot recently, he couldn't get them. Maybe he'll chime in. Keep us posted.

Sorry to disappoint, but I still cannot get them as they were never available here as Koffer said. I have found something cool yesterday though that I might have to post.

Is there an origin of the interest in clear tail lights side lights markers etc.?

Not my area of interest really but I am curious? Who started this shizzizzle?

I recently got a set of the clear front side markers from Mot, they look great and the buying and shipping process was a breeze thanks to Mot he is defiantly a pleasure to work with.

BTW, the I just found out yesterday that these lights were indeed a BMW conversion, which the owner spent about a year modifying.

I know I'm not going to be buying any but just curious.

IMO, the clear looks good on the lighter colored cruisers (silver, grey, and champagne), but not the darker colored cruisers, (red, green like mine, black). Maybe it's the crystal version that's just to much. Anyone have pictures of a green cruiser, with regular clear lenses??

How about some side moldings from Japan. The ones that say 4wheel drive on the front and VXLimited in the middle section, the rear section would cover up the rear markers just need to lug the two holes. Can you get the moldings?

Those look pretty close. Down to the angled side and screw holes. You'd want to screw down whatever you do get otherwise a carwash will make short work of them...

I looked at my mirror lenses I just put in, and they'd work, but would never survive any real abuse like a wash...

I don't know about the pillars, but it seems to be a typical configuration down here. I hadn't noticed the difference before!

LOL!!! Nakedman, here. too funny... anyway Ty if want to put together a group buy, I'll replicate the rear quarter panel lenses for you guys and mold them in clear for you. Same process & material that made the clear ARB's. I'll talk to my molder, get back to you on costs... they're different L and R so it'll be 2 separate molds, and may cost a little more than the ARB's did..

Do you still have some of the clears for the ARB left you want to sell? Also, I would go in on the rear quarters.
