I have heard from my "former" Toyota parts guy.

He just wrote me back to let me know that he quit his job and can no longer get parts for cheap (or at all) for me.

So, time to find an alternate source.

I think CDan can get you the side moldings. Not cheap, but they're pretty robust and will give you a stock finish. Ask him when he gets back to town and settles...

Yeah, see what CDan can do for you because most likely it would be cheaper through him if can get them, considering shipping 'n stuff.

But let me know though if he can't I would try to find an alternate source for cheaper OEM stuff.

guys Cruiserdan can get us the moldings for the US models, we want the non US model so we can cover up the rear red markers and have the VX lettering on the middle sides. Mot can you please keep looking ?

But OZCAL do you think you can get us some of those mouldings??

I finally made it in to the local dealer today, and he gave me a price of $A40 for each rear moulding (rear quarter panel - see pic of my OZ 80 a few posts up). I'd imagine Dan would be more cost efficient, if he can get them. Let me know if you want me to mail a pair up.

$A40 is about US$31 +/-. But the shipping might be a bear - I'll try to figure out weight etc, and get an idea from the post office how much. If it is really expensive, and you want to wait until August, I'll be flying to LA, driving through up the coast and over to Reno, then flying to Lake Louise. Postage would have to be cheaper from one of those places, if you couldn't pick them up in person.
