Anyone know where I can get another Superwinch ep9.0 for under $600?

I'd like to get another ep9.0 for the rear, but it seems they have been discontinued and replaced with a much more expensive Talon 9500 :frown:

I found the epi9.0 on Amazon, but I prefer the low profile of the ep :meh:

Anyone know where I might still be able find one on the shelf or get a smoking deal on a new talon?

I would seriously consider the 12,000 lb. Titan T12. It comes with Dyneema (Blue Steel) SKS75 synthetic line for that price. It also has a small footprint so it fits anywhere an m8000 would fit. I just ran a GB on them and sold a ton. The T12 stacks very well against all competitors.

not at the price you want .. but

Superwinch 09032 EP Series 9.0 Winch JEGS | eBay

I got lucky and source one of the last amazon EP16.5 couple of months ago .. with outstanding price ..

eBay still have good deal in EP12000

And new Talon line has nothing to do woth the old EP line from Superwinch .. even more expensive with less quality ..

Dam!!! I have a EP9.0 and really like it. I hope Superwinch will at least support parts for a while. I have no desire to go with the Talon either for likely the same reasons as you.

Damn, the prices sure have gone up :o

I bought my front ep9.0 for $539.99 + $9.95 shipping and it came with a free 20k snatch block :)

And that was like 3 years ago

How so?

I haven't really done much research on them, but they appear to have all the goodies I love on my ep (pop-n-spin clutch lever, external brake, removable/submersible solenoid pack, fairlead, etc.) :hhmm:

Now they claim to be fully sealed and have a stronger motor :meh:

Not a fan of the new hand remote design, but since I installed interior winch controls, I haven't used the remote, so it's not a big deal

I had the chance to open both and if you have that chance you will catch some quality differences .. but at the end are more less the same winch .. but now you need to pay more for the Talon series ..

In my case there is no 16.5 on the Talon line .. from 14k jump to 18k with the same motor .. just more reduction ..

The " old " 16.5 it's just a beast ..

Hello Rick,

I have been looking into winches for my rig and stumbled across the 9.5 talon SR for 699$ on San Francisco Craigslist says they are located in Petaluma & it looks to be a vendor.....Have not found any additional info on them but it does have contact info in the listing and if it is for real
$699$ sounds alot cheaper than i have seen them anywhere else. Please if you get one let me know what you think.

Hope this helped
Ruben:beer:
