My old truck had one, it was made in pakistan a few years ago, not many made. I got the bows and top from two different people here on the board.

I did sell it a few months ago, Justin , cant get my iphone to cooperate, whats the trick? Thanks for fixing!

i wish the TLC ICON guys would sell their tops that they put on their 45's.. too bad i dont have the 5000 bucks that they would be asking for one though.. lol..

actually, i would pay up to 1500 bucks for a nice one though that could fit over my metaltech cage if there was a top that could fit that bill...

Years ago I bought a bikini top for my bj42, it was raugh hide and not in any condition to be used but did take it into a boat canvas shop and asked if they would reproduce this as a proto type giving them additional details that I wanted.
It was superior and lasted 12years, though i only used it when it was raining and I was driving my daily driver/ offroader.
I have an fj45 king cab so I do intend to make a soft top for it and will approach a canvas boat shop in town when the time comes. I will use very little additional hardware if possible.

I was looking for the same a couple years back. found this.

I have a canvas guy and he said this would not be hard to do. Looks pretty dog gone cool....

I have an OCD version, made from cordura material and OEM bows. Need to refurb the bows but the top looks great. It is the same scheme as my 40's bikini I got from OCD...

Kind of chomping at the bit to get it on, but I have about a year's worth of work to get to that point.

FJ454 shall live again (soon, as in glacier time)

If you are interested, I can dig out the bows and get shots of them... they are mostly similar to 40 OEM bows to the point you could nearly reproduce them with 40 bits.

I also have one of Eshan's tops he built years back. Still going strong.

+1 for on my wish list, I am keeping my eye out for a industrial style sewing machine that will allow me to do upholstery and canvas. Figure I'm always gonna be building trucks etc...

Cab top

A few months back I finished the bed cover made by a local canvas shop and now I am in the process of designing and building a cab cover something like what was on the old US Army deuce and a half trucks. I am waiting to find a good tig welder or just buy one. I will be posting the steps when I have all the items and dawning completed.
:)

Not to off set The Red Camel question, but the bows were old US Army bows from a duce and a half truck. the rest was just some engineering.
My cab bows will be made of aluminum tubing.
Cheers
