I bought the Samco silicone PHH kit with the Breeze Constant torque clamps. But I can not find the PHH. Anyone wanna do it for me? There is a six-pack of the brew of your choice in it, or name your price. Thanks in advance.

Smart man. I did mine a couple weeks back. One of the most miserable jobs I ever had to tackle on a vehicle.

Glad it's over with.:bounce::bounce2::bounce2::bounce:

I know a lot of people here hate this job, but if you are patient, read a few threads here and have a pair of long handled pliers, its really a simple job. I did the workaround, and afterwards thought it was pretty easy. I'm a big guy, big arms and hands and managed just fine. It's all about finding the right 'route' to it and being patient. Not nearly as bad as all the negative hipe on here. Don't let it discourage you... Try again when you have a few hours free I'm sure you will get it!

Really? It took me a bit over 2 hours to finish and that was with multiple :beer: breaks. What issues did you run into?

To the OP- If you believe in yourself, it is a very do-able job.

I had a local reputable shop to mine and only took an hour. :)
Easiest job I never did.:rolleyes:
:cool:

The only way I've been able to afford and enjoy my Cruisers as much as I have is by diving in and giving things a shot.

The PHH is by no means a fun task, but I'm sure you will learn some things along the way, and come out ahead in the end.

Plus, there is a great community here if you run into any troubles.

x2 on Pin's advice.

After trying for over 2.5 hrs trying to get the upper bolt out that holds the tube to the intake manifold, I gave up. I got my wife and she was able to remove it by hand in a minute. (I'm 6'-5" and there was no way I could get my hand in there) I never did put that bolt back. To access the bolt she was lying atop my engine (35s, 2.5" OME + 1" body lift). It then took me another 2.5 hrs to get the Oetiker clamps tighented.

I'm never in a hurry when I do these things, and maybe I'm not the best monkey wrench, but I love hearing how everyone can do this that and everything in two hrs or less. F&&k it takes me an hour just to get the truck in the garage, get in my overalls, find my tools, get the wheels chalked, get the jack out, lift the front axle, place safety jack under frame, hook up impact gun, turn compressor on, remove wheel lugs, remove tire, move tire out of way... you get the picture...:flipoff2:

Too bad you don't have your rig in Dallas... you could drive down on a weekend... Ive done several at this point... still don't look forward to them, but have it down pretty good.:beer:

Like the others it is a pain but can be done without paying someone. I did the rear heater bypass so it was a bit easier for me. It took me awhile to realize what I was looking for. Pictures always look clear as day on the forum.

Shiznit, I'm 5'8" and 160 lbs and it took me 3 hrs to complete. The damn hose was seized on the fitting and the rear bolt was just annoying. It was my brother in laws 93 1fz. So glad I have my 3fe. Good luck and have fun.
